it s starting to warm up out here. look at all these people in the eastern corridor. they re excited as much as i am that it s finally warm out here. it s nice to not have to wear gloves or a hat or scarf or several coats. i m overdressed. i am. in my jacket. i feel good in my jean jacket . we re out walking because we can walk. there s no snow, snow ice and no jacket either. you can walk around without gloves. come on through. reporter: car washes all over the area were packed with people wanting to wash away the salt causing traffic jams on georgeia avenue. these suds were in high demand. the police had to help direct more than 700 customers who stopped by the car wash. with a high of 53 degrees, that s reason enough to celebrate. it is really fun because my mom took me out because it s my birthday. last week when it was so cold , we barely had any customer s. we haven t been this busy since christmas weekend. it feels great outside. i love the weather.
