In its 4 p.m. case bulletin, the Department of Health (DOH) said the figures represent 97.7 percent of the total of 2,827,820 confirmed infections nationwide since last year. The agency also reported 1,153 new confirmed cases, bringing the total active case tally to 18,721 lower than Monday's 19,798. Another 195 new deaths, meanwhile, brought its toll to 47,482.
