Moments ago authorities confirmed 93 deaths. The fires now the deadliest in the United States in more than a century. That number is expected to climb even more in the coming days as crews sift through the devastation caused by the fires. Governor josh green says the area has suffered some 6 billion in losses. People here have been lined up for hours, some of these folks sleeping in their cars waiting for the curfew in the town of lahaina to expire. Some of these people have nothing left, they just want to get in, see whats left of the town. Take a listen to some folks about what theyve seen there. I want people to know that there are people out here suffering, and we need donations. We need, we need people shipping things out here. We need families fed, we need yeah, we need so much men help. Union members say they had reasonably productive talks with ford saturday, but the union and the three Major Companies are still far apart on wages and benefits. Ford and General Motors responded by threatening layoffs for nonstriking workers due to the lack of parts from striking plants. General motors says they will lay off up to 2,000 workers this week if the strike continues. The workers walking the picket lines say they will stick it out until they get a deal that suits them.
