Another judge, Andy Allen, instantly picked up on Sabina s disappointment. Don’t be disappointed, he hastened to add. I can see it in your face straight away, this is a very good dish. Quite simple but so sophisticated on the palette.
Honest appraisal: Leong s fellow judge Jock Zonfrillo was the first to point out the slight deficiency with Sabina s meal
Imperfect: A lot to love about this dish, he began. Only negative for me is the lamb, it s a touch over cooked. Maybe a little past medium. That s my only negative
Leong was even more forthright, adding, You’re hard on yourself, and I can see you going down your shame spiral at the moment.

Well god damn, we did it. One week of
MasterChef down, about five million to go. What have we learned? We learned that it’s good to have actual first-time contestants back in the kitchen, rather than returning favourites all hell-bent on protecting their ~brand~. We learned that Andy, Jock and Melissa remain the best decision the show has made ever since floating a block of white chocolate under John Carasig’s nose. And we learned that big weird screens do absolutely nothing to replicate the experience of having an actual celebrity chef stand in the kitchen in person. But that’s the world we live in now, and we adapt to it as best we can.

Well here we go again, folks. It’s
MasterChef Australia time once again. The series that for so many years was The Bad Show, that suddenly took a sharp left turn last year to become The Good Show. Truly, it is utterly remarkable what jettisoning a bored Englishman, an ageing giant, and a wage thief will do.
