MasterChef down, about five million to go. What have we learned? We learned that it’s good to have actual first-time contestants back in the kitchen, rather than returning favourites all hell-bent on protecting their ~brand~. We learned that Andy, Jock and Melissa remain the best decision the show has made ever since floating a block of white chocolate under John Carasig’s nose. And we learned that big weird screens do absolutely nothing to replicate the experience of having an actual celebrity chef stand in the kitchen in person. But that’s the world we live in now, and we adapt to it as best we can.

On Tuesday, viewers bid farewell to the 25-year-old after she was tasked with cooking a bread dish by Italian chef Massimo Bottura during the show s Superstar Week - but her attempt didn t quite meet the mark.
Judge Andy Allen delivered the news, telling her: The texture of your pudding was wet, and we couldn t taste the bread because of the flavours of orange and raisins.

And just like with Nigella Lawson s seductive appearance on Sunday, fans went absolutely wild as the Israeli-British cook graced the studios with his presence - despite being thousands of kilometres away in London.
The 52-year-old appeared on the show to challenge contestants to make a three course meal to his standard, appearing via a life-size LED screen hologram due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
