(WBTV) - A teen was arrested after a drive-by shooting in Salisbury. Police say 19-year-old Achazyah McCombs has been arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle. He was taken to the Rowan County Jail under a $75,000 secured bond. One person was hurt in the shooting in Salisbury Monday morning. The shooting happened before 10:30 a.m. on S. Main Street at Mooresville Road near Southern Motors. A 24-year-old employee at the car lot was shot in the leg, according to police.

Kara Alsup, 25, died in the hospital Saturday afternoon, just before 12:30 p.m. Alsup started working at the Rowan Sheriff’s Office in the detention center on June 18, 2020.
