‘We stand with India as you fight COVID,’ says Singapore High Commission
To speed up delivery, Singapore has deployed two of its Air Force aircraft to transport oxygen cylinders and other critical supplies that will arrive in India later on Wednesday.
“Last year, India helped the world and Singapore by exporting essential medicines and supplies. Now we stand with India as you fight COVID. Singapore Minister Maliki Osman flagged off two of RSAF’s C-130s, arriving in India today with 256 oxygen cylinders to support last mile oxygen delivery,” Singapore High Commission in India said on Twitter.

The paramilitary force said there is a huge influx of patients demanding admission at the facility and it has requested the Delhi government to increase oxygen supply so that admissions are increased Only one-third of the total 500 oxygen beds at the ITBP operated COVID-19 care centre in south Delhi are occupied as the border guarding force said the capacity to admit coronavirus infected patients at the facility is “limited” due to supply of oxygen.
One of his message in Hindi read,”In this time of corona, my appeal to Congress colleagues is to leave all political work and engage only in helping the public in distress”.

Once available, Sputnik V will be the third vaccine to be used in India against coronavirus Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, which has received approval from the Indian drug regulator for restricted emergency use of COVID-19 vaccine Sputnik V, on April 27 said it expects the first lot of stock from Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) by May-end.
In September 2020, Dr. Reddy’s and RDIF entered into a partnership to conduct clinical trials of Sputnik V, developed by the Gamaleya National Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology and the rights for distribution of the first 100 million doses in India.
