Can epigenetic age be reversed? Yes, says a new study by following a healthy diet and lifestyle practices.
Aging published Potential reversal of epigenetic age using a diet and lifestyle intervention: a pilot randomized clinical trial which reported on a randomized controlled clinical trial conducted among 43 healthy adult males between the ages of 50-72.
The 8-week treatment program included diet, sleep, exercise and relaxation guidance, and supplemental probiotics and phytonutrients.
‘Following a specific diet and lifestyle interventions may reverse Horvath DNAmAge epigenetic aging in healthy adult males.’
Genome-wide DNA methylation analysis was conducted on saliva samples using the Illumina Methylation Epic Array and DNAmAge was calculated using the online Horvath DNAmAge clock (also published in Aging). ....

Report reveals impact of £1.8billion+ on UK science and economy by Diamond Light Source

A recent study published 26 May estimates a cumulative monetised impact of at least £1.8 billion on UK science and economy from the UK s synchrotron, Diamond Light Source, reflecting favourably with the £1.2 billion investment made in the facility to date.
