With over 20 years working for the district, Lois Yount was approved as the new superintendent.
Yount was one of four finalists with elementary teaching experience and had been the district’s Chief Business Official since 2018.
“Thank you, board of trustees. I look forward to continue serving the board, the community of Galt. I also want to thank Dr. Schauer for her leadership. She’s been a great role model for me. I’m excited about it. I look forward to the hard work. This is a wonderful district that does great things. I thank you for this opportunity,” Yount said after she was announced as incoming superintendent during the board’s June 16 meeting.
