as well as dulles. bwi at 76 degrees and again, sun's not even up yet so you can tell as soon as we get the sun in the sky things will warm up quickly. partly sunny to start the day but we'll break off into more sunshine by early afternoon. 83 by 11 o'clock. 2 o'clock 89 degrees. by 5 o'clock there we go we're getting into the 90's once again although unlike yesterday don't think we'll see as side looks good to the 11th street bridge and then again you hit that construction slowdown. things on 295 through riverdale park are looking lookg forward things along 270 delay free from frederick trump administration knew michael flynn was under investigation weeks before the inauguration. flynn reportedly told president trump and his transition team that he was under investigation for secretly working as a paid lobbyist for turkey during the campaign. flynn was fired just 24 days into his job. >> house majority leader kevin mccarthy accused president trump of being paid by russian president vladimir putin. according to the washington& post mccarthy made the remarks during a private conversation with fellow republicans on capitol hill. the post is also reporting that house speaker paul ryan stopped the conversation and made members present swear to secrecy. some comments from tom brady's wife gisele bundchen have sparked an nfl investigation. she says her husband has suffered from concussions throughout his career including one last season. the thing is brady has never missed any games due trauma in his career. the nfl released a statement saying there were no records to indicate brady had sustained a concussion or exhibited any symptoms. if brady did suffer a concussion last season, it would fall under the nfl's new concussion policy which means if it's true and the patriots failed to report it, the team would be at risk for a series of six figure fines from the league. if prince harry wants to say i do to girlfriend megan markel he can do so at westminster abbey even though she's a divorcee. the church says divorced people have been able to wed there since 2002. however, the prince will still need his grandmother's permission to wed there. that might be tougher. finally coca-cola has been cutting sugar from some of its most popular drinks. they've seen a reduction in the amount of sugar. the company has added sweeteners to try and reaction to a massive fight outside of the turkish embassy. police believe bodyguards for turkey's president instigated the fight. 12 people including a police officer were hurt. >> chelsea manning was released yesterday after serving seven years of a 35 year sentence for leaking classified materials to wikileaks. shortly after her release she posted photos to her instagram page with the caption first steps to freedom. >> maryland first license to grow -- first licensed to grow medical marijuana has been issued. the maryland medical cannabis commission approved monday. it means if the company can now legally grow plants. they expect to have a product for patients by the fall. >> kentucky derby winner always dreaming is the favorite to win saturday's preakness stakes. always dreaming will of late spring feel to this early summer heat we have. day two of the heat wave is today and temperatures will once again cross that 90-degree threshold. satellite and radar with a little bit of cloud elderly very young limit their time outdoors. the air mass has changed too much. could be looking at a code orange again tomorrow. 65 to 75 as the kids get off to school. very warm muggy start to the inner loop by braddock road. outer loop not dealing with any slowdowns. more construction. we'll take a look at our maps. 295 northbound ongoing construction zone by that benning road. you can see from that pennsylvania avenue to benning road even though volume's light we're seeing a red zone on the map because of how slow cars are going past that area. at least one lane blocked. 50 inbound looking good. as we take a wide view of our drive times all green all good on majors in virginia. 95 northbound dale city to the beltway 17 minute trip. 39510 minutes that's what we like to see there. 109 to the beltway just 23 minutes and 66 eastbound from prince william parkway to the beltway that's a 20 minute ride. we like we're seeing through virginia and maryland. outer loop top of the beltway quiet from 95 over to georgia avenue. at speed there. if you have an early flight traffic on the way to reagan national dulles and bwi outside the top of the beltway looking good. between the erin thank you. this morning there is drama at the white house as president trump prepares for his first foreign trip to israel. early this week a senior u.s. official reportedly said that the western wall is in the west bank not israel. during a heated exchange at the israeli delegation helping to plan at president's visit. the national security adviser h.r. mcmaster and sean spicer wouldn't say the western wall is in israel during press briefings adding further fuel to the fire. >> the western wall is obviously one of the holiest sites in the jewish faith. it's clearly in jerusalem. but there's -- there's been -- it's an issue that's had serious consideration. it will be a topic that's going to be discussed during the president's trip between parties that he meets with. >> president trump spoke with israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu yesterday. the conversation was solely about the president's upcoming trip. that trip one not only because of the recent headlines but also the efforts to resume peace talks palestinians.sraelis and the- >> fox5 is following the latest in a traffic stop in arlington that ended in gunfire. officers pulled over car on i395 at the glebe road exit. as they walked to the car the driver reportedly hit one of the officers with his vehicle. the officers then shot the driver. the driver's in the hospital with life-threatening injuries. one officer was taken to the hospital with some serious injuries. another officer was treated at the scene. two people are dead and two people are recovering after ahead on wrong way car crash on route 50. maryland state police say 22-year-old laura murphy was driving the wrong way on eastbound route 50 and when she hit another car head on. now she died at the scene. a 14 month old boy which was in her car is hospitalized with critical injuries. the driver of the second car, 66-year-old robert skidmore also died. a third car involved in that was slightly damaged but the driver was not hurt. >> happening today in the dulles greenway's 12th annual drive for charity today. tolls collected will be donated to six local charities and the dulles greenway scholarship program. last year they collected more than $350,000. >> coming up on fox5 news morning a former student files a sexual assault lawsuit against baylor university. >> and the biggest case of its kind that investigators have according to the waco tribune. a former baylor volleyball player says she was drugged and gang raped by as many as eight football players. the lawsuit accuses football players of recording two baylor students being gang raped. this is the seventh such lawsuit against baylor. >> massive investigation in california has farmers across the united states buzzing. police have arrested a man they say stole $1 million worth of beehives and bee keeping equipment from orchards and farms. many farmers rely heavily on bees to pollinate their crops. police say a recent decline in the bee population has increased the value of beehives. >> not so much pomp but plenty of circumstance at this high school graduation ceremony in memphis, tennessee. becoming a volatile one when several women got into a fight. you can see the brawl at the bottom of your screen right there. whole thing started over a request to switch seats. don't do that. authorities escorted two women off the premises. one was afternoon. there are those normal highs for wisdom martin. 76 is what we should be this time of year. so well up and beyond that. take note allergy sufferers tree pollen remains high as does grass pollen and all of this is sitting in the air and because the air mass hasn't moved too much we are under a code orange air quality today so if you're in the sensitive groups asthma sufferers very elderly and the very young limit your outdoor activities this afterno some clouds coming across this morning. that's about it, though. those clouds are actually helping to hold temperatures up and it's humid to start the day and it will be humid this afternoon as well. dewpoints in the mid 60's. that means you'll be able to feel kind of that humidity in the atmosphere. all right. seven-day forecast. 92 today. 91 tomorrow. though tomorrow we could bubble up some thunderstorms in the afternoon that will usher in a cooler air mass for the weekend. look at by the time we get to saturday much cooler, 74 degrees, more clouds than sun on sunday, 73 degrees. 80's back by monday with scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon and then headed into next week we have 70's instead of 90's. all avenue on the outer loop. this is a look at the delay. that is because around the bend we have a big crash taking out several lanes. so please use caution. actually i'll just got word from my producer the outer loop stretch is completely shut down while they work to clear that c every lane of the outer loop between colesville road and georgia avenue blocked. exit at colesville road. we'll keep you
