let's get you outside sky6 live hd we'll show you the shot, mother nature will be lending a helping hand. a lot of snow is north and west of philadelphia at this point. it will be a jackpot area, some locations out that way could see a foot of snow. in the radar is clear we don't have any precipitation worries today, tomorrow night it begins and lingers through tuesday, it is mighty cold. we have a lot of cold air. the cold air sources an area of high pressure along the us/canadian border. temperatures are cold enough, teens and 20s for everybody. we'll get a couple of degrees above freezing today. with the wind it will feel like the 20s out there. it's another bitter cold day across the delaware and the lehigh valleys. this cloud cover right here is associated with piece of energy and snow across the carolinas that's not our storm. that will rails out to sea over the next few hours. this right here is our storm. this is the piece of energy that gets the ball rolling so to speak without this we wouldn't have a snowstorm coming monday night into tuesday. this upper level piece of energy will swing through the ohio and tennessee valleys and redevelops off the coast of the carolinas and that low charges up the eastern seaboard and moves into the cold air. that means a lot of snow is on the way here. that's what most of the models are showing at this point. future tracker 6 we'll skip over today and tomorrow, tomorrow between 9 and 11:00 p.m. that's when the snow should begin. heavy snow is immediately as soon as it starts, you can see the darker shades of lavender here. here's the rain/snow line this particular model has it in philadelphia. all areas south and east, according to this model we slip over to rain at least for a brief period of time. heavy snows flying to the northwest. we should change everybody back over to snow, this is called the backlash here before the storm comes to an end, that would be during the late afternoon and early evening hours, 3:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m., most of this is starting to wind down and come to an end. key point snow developing monday night after the evening commute. the heaviest 3 and 11:00 p.m. could be two inches an hour. this is subject to change. what we think right now the limiting factor down here, is the changeover to rain. let's assume the storm shifts the track farther out to the southeast, all this here, slides down to the southeast, as well, the track that determines this, right now this is the first call here from wilmington to trenton, a good 8 to 12 inches. 12 to 16 for the far northwestern suburbs the lehigh valley and the poconos lighter amounts across south jersey. cape may county, one to two inches at best because there's a quick changeover to rain. this is a heart attack snow, it is very heavy wet snow. let the kids shovel this. the weight of the snow could break tree branches and power outages. if you have to shovel take your time 12 inches of heavy wet snow a lot of to push off there. sun to clouds, quiet for the weekend. calm before the storm as they say. 35 degrees windchills in the 20s. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, 34 today increasing clouds tomorrow, cold 38 degrees. 36 for tuesday that snow developing around midnight monday night between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. continues through the late afternoon tuesday you saw the accumulation 8 to 12 in the city. morning snow showers for wednesday, and then it looks like finally by next weekend we fall out of it a little bit. 46 is below the seasonal average. >> what is going on? [cheers and applause]. >> reporter: voters showing up at town halls expressing concern about losing coverage under the new plan. >> i i am a cancer survivor, my treatment is half a million dollars a reporter: congressman expressing their own concerns, the white house has enlisted the vice president to bolster support. >> the obama care nightmare is about to end. mike pence making the pitch to overhaul obama care. more than half a million people get insurance under the affordable care act. rand paul is against the bill and so is the governor. >> i know that not every politician in kentucky supports tur -- our plan. he talked about elements of obama care and mentioned tax credits and medicaid reform. even he appeared to know this will be an uphill battle. the bill has cleared two major committees and could be on the house floor by the end of the month. gloria rivera abc washington. matt -- manhattan's top congressman is off the job preet bharara said he was fired after the trump administration asked for the resignation of 46 attorney general. he said trump asked him to stay on back in november. meanwhile trump is praising the secret service after agents apprehended a man >> 9:36 a.m., harrisburg firefighters have lost one of their own. a firefighters died while heading to a call for a fire that killed a 3-year-old girl. firefighters say the initial call went out for a fire at a home yesterday afternoon. the fire started when a charging hover board suddenly exploded. the little girl was killed and two others injured. authorities say dennis deveau was heading to the firehouse to pick you mean -- up his gear when his car was hit by another vehicle. >> witnesses say the car went into the stop sign and struck the vehicle pushing him out of the intersection on to the curb. >> this woman you're looking at kanye kendall was taken into custody on dui. she faces charges driving a stolen vehicle. many firefighters battling the fire had returned from a funeral for a retired colleague who died from cancer. the trial is set to begin tomorrow for the purpose of the philadelphia school bus driver accused of leaving a 7-year-old alone on a bus as he went into a store to get a money order. jamar henly why he lied. he was charged with child endangerment and was fired from his job. the jury selection will continue in the trial of eric frein charged with the 2014 ambush killing of state trooper brian dixon and wounding alless douglass. the jury is being chosen from chester county because of widespread media coverage in the poconos. a delaware refinery has been slapped with $150,000 fine. state regulators say the delaware refinery company shipped crude oil to facilities not allowed under the conditions of its permit. environmental said they sent 17 barge shipments to other locations. the refinery said they thought the shipments were allowed and going to appeal. we'll show you the new drone that will help measure atmosphere. >> folks are cleaning up powerful spring-like weather. in calloway county, kentucky officials are trying to determine if a tornado caused this damage. no injuries, but roofs were torn off near the town of hickman. this is a rare scene for parts of the south one to two inches of snow fell in eastern arkansas. but that snow is not sticking around long. the area will warm up today, it is heading up to 50 degrees. the south has been dealing with the same rollercoaster ride of warm and cold temperatures that we've been dealing with all winter long. >> so you remember, not too long ago we were talking about the 60s and that that disturbance is pushing west to east from the south. we'll see sunshine today mixed with clouds later on. temperatures big story here, it continues to be mighty cold for this time of the year. 25 for philadelphia, 20 in allentown. 10 in the poconos, 26 in millville. windchills all day long, this is a huge improvement from yesterday when the windchills were hanging out in the mid teens all day. this is very very cold. 2, 4 6:00 p.m. 8, looks like the numbers around 25 degrees, even though we're forecasting a high of 35 or 36 it will feel like the 20s. here's another look at the water vapor shot. this is the southern branch. jet stream. this is where all the moisture is coming from. this area of low pressure here comes running right into that jet and picks all that moisture up and pushes it north into the cold air that's already in place, let's go over to future tracker 6. and they is the nor'easter we're tracking by 1:00 a.m. it's snowing heavily. there's the darker shades of lavender. the start time is between 9:00 p.m., 11:00 p.m. monday night, southwest to northeast. the question mark is where does the rain/snow line set up. other forecast models don't have the line this far north, they have it through the i-95 corridor snow the entire time. if this lifts the numbers will be lower across south jersey and delaware. if it is to the southeast it will be higher. melissa magee will have a better handling on "action news" after the game. later this evening -- later tuesday evening this is the backlash snow, this is the wrap around moisture on the backside, the cold air charging in. everybody flips back over to snow before ending. there's another question mark how much snow is on the back edge as the storm pulls through. what we're thinking, key points to take away, snow develops 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. southwest to northeast. the heaviest snowfall rates 1 to 2 inches per hour. it will taper off 3 to 5:00 p.m., tuesday afternoon. these are the biggest late season snowstorms in the city of philadelphia. look at this one almost 20 inches that was in april 1915. this was the blizzard of 93. march 15, 12 to 16 north and west, to 8 south jersey and lighter amounts the faster southeast we go because of the changeover to rain. high tide time, we think that tuesday morning commute could be pretty high in terms of the water level here, we'll see moderate tidal flooding tuesday morning and tuesday afternoon. minor tidal flooding monday night for the high tide. it is the tuesday high tide that needs to be monitors closely. street. the man was hit by a vehicle in the southbound lanes of route 73 near the intersection of fellow in mount the man was trying to cross 73 at 3:30 a.m. he was rushed to the hospital in marlton where he died from his judicious. the driver stopped after the crash. no word if charges will be filed. a bowling alley in delaware is in ruins after the collapsed. you see the pike creek bowling alley it burned to the ground at 5:30 a.m. it's located on pike creek boulevard in pike creek. the three-alarm fire was called before firefighters got control of it. there's no word on what started the fire. we can tell you no injuries were reported. and then this, a three-alarm fire on a north philadelphia street forced the evacuation of almost an entire block of row homes. the action cam at there's the live shot overlooking the camden waterfront. you can see the puffy cumulus clouds starting to develop. the big story is the cold air. 22 in pottstown quakertown 22. 26 in glassboro and gandys beach. hammonton, 28. woodbine 26. smyrna 29. dover, 28 degrees. all day long we'll be dealing with the blustery windchills. similar to yesterday but the numbers are a little bit milder, maybe enough to make a difference. we'll see windchills in the mid 20s today. yesterday most of the time those windchills were hanging out in the mid teens. tracker this is actually the beginning or the early stages of this developing northeaster. we're target to put the pieces of the puzzle together now. you can see the snow is breaking out east of rapid city high plains of the dakotas here. that moisture will pull into the southern branch. jet like cars on a track we are seeing waves of moisture ride the southern branch. jet stream. when this hits it will come up and pour all the moisture into the cold air sitting in place. national weather service issued a winter storm watch for the entire viewing area with the exception of kent and a cape may counties. everybody else is included in the watch. we're expecting a significant snowfall when all is said and done. 11:00 p.m. monday night we'll see the snow break out for most of the region at that point. it will come down heavily almost immediately as the storm pushes north in the mitt atlantic states in the northeast. this particular model 7:00 a.m. tuesday morning lifts the rain snow line into philadelphia. there are several models that keep the model to the south cumberland and atlantic counties. this is the question mark right now. if the rain/snow line lifts north into philadelphia, the snowfall totals will be less in the city of philadelphia. the farther south and east it is the higher sneefl -- snowfall amounts for the i-95 corridor. 3:00 p.m. you can see the heavy snow blanketing the area. it will pull away and blast new england. by 5:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m., everything clears out. snow develops monday night the heaviest between 3:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. we'll see one to two inches an hour. it will taper off tuesday afternoon. snowfall totals it is subject to change. it depends on the track of the low. this is the call from accuweather, the i-95 corridor, 8 to 12 inches. 12 to 16 north and west. the far western suburbs lehigh valley and the poconos. lierpt -- lighter amounts in the southeast, coastal area 1 to 2 and 2 to 4. wind gusting 50-mile an hour plus for the immediate shorepoints. keep in mind you have heavy wet snow sticking to everything, you start getting 40 to 50-mile an hour wind we're talking about power outages in the part of the area. if you have a generator at the jersey shore retired colleague who died from cancer. the trial is set to begin tomorrow for the purpose of the philadelphia school bus driver accused of leaving a 7-year-old alone on a bus as he went into a store to get a money order. jamar henly why he lied. he was charged with child endangerment and was fired from his job. the jury selection will continue in the trial of eric frein charged with the 2014 ambush killing of state trooper brian dixon and wounding alless douglass. the jury is being chosen from chester county because of widespread media coverage in the poconos. a delaware refinery has been slapped with $150,000 fine. state regulators say the delaware refinery company shipped crude oil to facilities not allowed under the conditions of its permit. environmental said they sent 17 barge rare scene for parts of the south one to two inches of snow fell in eastern arkansas. but that snow is not sticking around long. the area will warm up today, it is heading up to 50 degrees. the south has been dealing with the same rollercoaster ride of warm and cold temperatures that we've been dealing with all winter long. >> so you remember, not too long ago we were talking about the 60s and all day. this is very very cold. 2, 4 6:00 p.m. 8, looks like the numbers around 25 degrees, even though we're forecasting a high of 35 or 36 it will feel like the 20s. here's another look at the water vapor shot. this is the southern branch. jet stream. this is where all the moisture is coming from. this area of low pressure here comes running right into that jet and picks all that moisture up and pushes it north into the cold air that's already in place, let's go over to future tracker 6. and they is the nor'easter we're tracking by 1:00 a.m. it's snowing heavily. there's the darker shades of lavender. the start time is between 9:00 p.m., 11:00 p.m. monday night, southwest to northeast. the question mark is where does the rain/snow line set up. other forecast models don't have the line this far north, they have it through the i-95 corridor snow the entire time. if this lifts the numbers will be lower across south jersey and delaware. if it is to the southeast it will be higher. melissa magee will have a better handling on "action news" after the game. later this evening -- later tuesday evening this is the backlash snow, this is the wrap around moisture on the backside, the cold air charging in. everybody flips back over to snow before ending. there's another question mark how much snow is on the back edge as the storm pulls through. what we're thinking, key points to take away, snow develops 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. southwest to northeast. the heaviest snowfall rates 1 to 2 inches per hour. it will taper off 3 to 5:00 p.m., tuesday afternoon. these are the biggest late season snowstorms in the city of philadelphia. look at this one almost 20 inches that was in april 1915. this was the blizzard of 93. march 15, 12 to 16 north and west, to 8 south jersey and lighter amounts the faster southeast we go because of the changeover to rain. high tide time, we think that tuesday morning commute could be pretty high in terms of the water level here, we'll see moderate tidal flooding tuesday morning and tuesday afternoon. minor tidal flooding monday night for the high tide. it is the tuesday high tide that needs to be monitors closely. street. the man was hit by a vehicle in the southbound lanes of route 73 near the intersection of fellow in mount the man was trying to cross 73 at 3:30 a.m. he was rushed to the hospital in marlton there's the live shot overlooking the camden waterfront. you can see the puffy cumulus clouds starting to develop. the big story is the cold air. 22 in pottstown quakertown 22. 26 in glassboro and gandys beach. hammonton, 28. woodbine 26. smyrna 29. dover, 28 degrees. all day long we'll be dealing with the blustery windchills. similar to yesterday but the numbers are a little bit milder, maybe enough to make a difference. we'll see windchills in the mid 20s today. yesterday most of the time those windchills were hanging out in the mid teens. tracker this is actually the beginning or the early stages of this developing northeaster. we're target to put the pieces of the puzzle together now. you can see the snow is breaking out east of rapid city high plains of the dakotas here. that moisture will pull into the southern branch. jet like cars on a track we are seeing waves of moisture ride the southern branch. jet stream. when this hits it will come up and pour all the moisture into the cold air sitting in place. national weather service issued a winter storm watch for the entire viewing area with the exception of kent and a cape may counties. everybody else is included in the watch. we're expecting a significant snowfall when all is said and done. 11:00 p.m. monday night we'll see the snow break out for most of the region at that point. it will come down heavily almost immediately as the storm pushes north in the mitt atlantic states in the northeast. this particular model 7:00 a.m. tuesday morning lifts the rain snow line into philadelphia. there are several models that keep the model to the south cumberland and atlantic counties. this is the question mark right now. if the rain/snow line lifts north into philadelphia, the snowfall totals will be less in the city of philadelphia. the farther south and east it is the higher sneefl -- snowfall amounts for the i-95 corridor. 3:00 p.m. you can see the heavy snow blanketing the area. it will pull away and blast new england. by 5:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m., everything clears out. snow develops monday night the heaviest between 3:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. we'll see one to two inches an hour. it will taper off tuesday afternoon. snowfall totals it is subject to change. it depends on the track of the low. this is the call from accuweather, the i-95 corridor, 8 to 12 inches. 12 to 16 north and west. the far western suburbs lehigh valley and the poconos. lierpt -- lighter amounts in the southeast, coastal area 1 to 2 and 2 to 4. wind gusting 50-mile an hour plus for the immediate shorepoints. keep in mind you have heavy wet snow sticking to everything, you start getting 40 to 50-mile an hour wind we're talking about power outages in the part of the area. if you have a generator at the jersey shore
