inside of the da's office today. >> as you might imagine this is a surreal day for the people that work here at the philadelphia district attorneys office. seth williams notified his first assistant via text message he planned to enter a plea and design. there is a real since they are ready to put behind them what she called an unfortunate period. kathleen martin stood before a rom packed with employees fill from the district attorneys office. >> i could not be more proud of my hard working colleagues and how they conducted themselves in light of the investigation and prosecution of mr. williams. >> the job now falls to martin to keep the da's office on track and moving forward. something she says that she and the people here are dedicated to doing. >> they should know that the describe attorney's office continues the pursuit of justice and the hope for a safer city. the future here is unclear. the board of judges could choose a replacement for martin to lead until the district attorney is elected in november and inaugurated in january. former district attorney, peter vair vera says they have to undo the blot on the help ration. >> he is going to jail and you don't rage crash in chester county is now identified. police say that 18-year-old bianca roberson is a victim of the crash in west goshen township. it's a tragic story and the search for the other driver involved continues this afternoon. we are joined now from police headquarters with the latest and rough day for the victim's family. >> reporter: yes alicia, i just got off the phone with roberson's devastated father and brother and remember her as a bright young lady and they are searching for the driver of a red pickup truck. >> bianca roberson was headed for greatness when her journey came to a tragic end on the route 100 spur. the 18-year-old's car went off the road and hit a tree. that is something they can't answer yet. >> anyone that can provide us with information taos it could be critical. critical for her family and friends too. her recent alma mater responded quickly. we have grief counselors this morning preparing to help any parents or students or staff about the loss of a passenger in the car when she was shot at rising drive and south cannon road. the car was shot several times shattering the windows, the police determined the girl was inside of the car with other young people and being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. thanks to one woman's quick actions not a single person was hurt when a car drove into a beauty shot. this surveillance shows the car driving through the beauty shot. nicky watson warned her employees and customers to exit through the back of the building and then went inside to get the driver out. the driver was cited for former da, seth williams, is district attorney no more. he plead guilty to a single count accepting a prescribe. bringing to an end the trial and his political career and his freedom. still it's enough to put him behind bars for five years. >> it came after 29 corruption counts, he is accused of accepting thousands in gifts and vacations and misspending money from his own campaign fund. moments after the deal was announced. the once promising da was handcuffed and led away. he is behind bars until he is formerly sentenced in october. jim kenney said quote, i wish he had done it much story. >> reporter: this surveillance footage shows the moment before and after the homicide in olney that claimed the life of howard white. former u.s. marine. >> not just a hero but an american hero. >> white is seen wearing a polo shirt and the suspended gunman wearing a white t-shirt at north tavern at spencer. they interact and walk back into the frame and walk back in and people scene outside of the bar darting in different directions. white believed that the suspect was casing the bar and stepped in to stop a robbery. >> he is military trained to observe things and he tried to keep the peace and told the gentlemen, sir you don't want to do this come on. >> his family says in the process of getting the suspect away from the bar white was shot twice and killed. his cousin armed with two guns and a permit to carrie chased the suspect until the police arrived and told him to drop his weapon and the police pursued and the suspect went into this home in annest to get away. javier vazquez was asleep and saw a person in the kitchen. the suspect hit him knit face with his gun multiple times. i grabbed his wrist and pulled his hair and scuffled with him, he is a lot younger prepared as you get ready for the 4th of july holiday weekend they have tips to share with you. >> it's a good thing we like about this, the rescue needs to be quick we are out in the water quick. safety is the number one topic this afternoon during the south jersey lifeguard symposium. 15 different beach patrols sharing tools and tips and technology to keep swimmers safe and improve procedures. >> our goal is to make the beaches of south jersey as safe as they can be. people are expected to travel to the shore and water is where everyone wants to go and lifeguards say even on a calm day changes in the win or tide with activate a rip current. that is a big concern the water at one stand could be completeply different a quarter mile down, it's important for the guards to be prepared and know the water and when people come down we have the knowledge to give them to keep them safe. >> no matter what, from you in ocean city, our guarded areas are guarded by two green flags
