tell us more. americans are thirsty for craft beer. new numbers show that craft beer makes up 21% of the american beer market. it is a huge jump in just the last two years. it comes as overall beer sales are actually down, which i find hard to believe, but i guess the numbers don't lie. stefan? >> good morning, everyone. things are looking okay on most roads on the triangle right now. if you are hitting the roads right now at i-85 and i-40, looking okay as you can see from that picture there. traffic is moving smoothly. area. elsewhere. we did have an earlier are wreck that was on i-40 eastbound in johnston county near benson. the rack has now been clear you can still use caution if you are traveling in that area, but things are definitely improving johnston county. looking at a 16-minute drive from 440 to wade avenue. more weather and traffic updates coming up in a few minutes. we want to get right to breaking news on the attack in brussels. the suspected isis bomb-maker reportedly arrested in brussels. lauren haviland has the breaking details. lauren, what do you know? >> reporter: cbs reported to that the suspected isis bomb- maker is in police custody. if is believed he may have built the bombs for both the brussels attack. belgian media reported that the police had taken the 25- year-old into custody in brussels this morning. officials did not immediately confirm the reports, but again, it is reported that he is arrested and was arrested in brussels. maker believed to be in police custody at this time. we'll continue to follow this breaking news on wncn.com and cbs north carolina. back to you in the studio. >> we also know about one man living in brussels who used to call north carolina home. rob denny was born in wilson but has been living in brussels for about a year now. denny says -- >> reporter: kentucky native carolyn moore was with her daughter stephanie. stephanie is now missing. >> my husband called the american embassy, and they are looking for her. >> reporter: three american mormon missionaries were also at the airport. richard, joseph, and mason were all hurt. it wasn't the first time wells faced terror. he was a block away when the boston marathon bomb went off in 2013. his parents spoke to him on the phone tuesday. >> mason, i'm going to catch a >> reporter: quinnipiac university students narrowly escaped the airport bombings. they are all safe, and despite the close call, vow to continue their trip through europe. >> she's telling us she's planning on continuing her trip because she said if she so she's going. >> reporter: as some persons worry about loved ones in brussels, here at home, authorities are trying to prevent an attack with heightened security in places like times square. at major airports, passengers are met with heavily armed officers on patrol. >> what we haven't seen is directed attacks. that's what we saw in paris. that's what we just saw in brussels, and that's what we have to be prepared for, obviously. don champion, cbs, north carolina. and this morning, we know more than about one man now living in brussels who hughesed rob denny has been living in brussels for about a year now. denny says the location of the attacks tuesday was just blocks away from his home. following it, he describes hearing sirens and helicopters for hours. denny says he's very familiar with the airport and subway systems and describes the airport in brussels as an easy target for terrorists because everything is centralized. rather than anger and hate, he says the city of brussels is coming together to help one another. >> today was a horrible day in brussels, but it could have been much worse. we should be strong. we shouldn't hate. we shouldn't condemn. it just makes it worse. >> we've also learned a raleigh man, mark noel was waiting for a flight back to atlanta. he went to buy magazines when the first attack happened. he says it was an act that may have saved his life. you'll find all of the stories in a special section of our web site. just scroll over the news tab on the home page. the goal is to block a charlotte ordinance to allow transgenders to use the bathroom of the gender they identify. this is costing taxpayers thousands of dollars. emma? >> reporter: yeah, and it's also been pretty unpopular with republican lawmakers, some who say it will do whatever it takes to overturn it. under this ordinance, like you said, people will be able to use the bathroom with which she identify with. several ordinances like this have been cast in other cities around the country. the charlotte councilman who vote for it spoke out and doesn't think it will harm anyone. >> it hasn't happened in columbia, south carolina. it hasn't happened in charleston, south carolina. >> if they're concerned for the dignity and safety and well being of women and children and other citizens that will either live in or visit the city of charlotte, they ought to be concerned and understand that this is a very, very important issue. >> reporter: the legislature is expected to convene for this special session this morning at 10:00. stefan? >> emma, there is some concern that today's special session could be about more than just a bathroom issue, right? >> reporter: yeah there is. governor mccrory sent out a letter yesterday saying that he expects that what's discussed in today's special session is only going to be aboutle bathroom issue. he says anything else, they should just hold it and wait for a regular session. i'm emma wright, cbs north carolina. >> on top of the story for us. thank you so much. stale ahead?
