'its something that happens in the movies like you dont think of it in really life, that o of thing, unfortunately it seems they do.' the autopsy was performed today and the investigation continues. anyone with information is asked to call the milwaukee police department. reporting live outside district 5 - julie collins fox 6 news. ben thanks julie. the milwaukee county medical examiner responds to a suspicious death this morning. a man's body was found near 18th and rogers. an autopsy has been scheduled for a milwaukee police officer - an officer whos now facing sexual assault charges - says theres no separating the two cases. he believes the death of sylville smith goes hand in hand with accusations that dominique heaggan-brown sexually assaulted two men and solicited two others for prostitution. heaggan-brown shot and killed sylville smith while on duty august 13th. police have said smith was armed and raised his gun toward officers when heaggan-brown opened fire. chief ed flynn says the investigation of strictly on the facts and not the character of the officer involved. smith's family doesnt see it that way... how do you not tie someone to an activity - an act that they did, a malicious crime, and then separate it from another malicious crime? "if you have an opportunity - go out and change somebodys life. a simple act of kindness can change so many lives." kim murphy fox 6 news. five.. there are now charges filed against a police officer... criminal charges. that officer is on the brown deer police department.... and it stems from a shooting of an unarmed man... back in march. fox6's myra sanchick has been following this story.. she is stop in brown deer.... the milwaukee police department was called in to investigate what happened on march 14th. the criminal complaint is in: officer devon kraemer is charged with battery with the use of a dangerous weapon. a bus video surveillance and witness interviews were used in the investigation. 27 year old brown deer police officer devon kraemer ?and another officer unruly rider 26 year old manuel burnley--on a milwaukee county bus march 14th. the bus had pulled over at 60th and donna. the criminal complaint says kraemer and another officer took the uncooperative and beligerent man off the bus and took him to the ground. as the man kept struggling, the complaint says she was unable to gain control of burnley's left arm, and she drew her firearm, and pressed it againsst burnley's back: she then drew it back a short striking burnley in the back. she told police she shot burnley because she feared for her safety the criminal complaint says an expert in police defense says this was not a reasonable fear. "the officers were in the process of handcuffing him behind his back. at that time, officer kraemer drew her service weapon and without any warning or reasonable explanation shot mr. burnley once in the upper middle part of his back. mr. burnley is lucky to be alive from being shot. attorney for the man shot, jonathon safran, says this is the first time criminal charges have come down against a local officer in a police involved shooting since 2006. burnley's lawyer says he still suffers from physical and emotional injuries and has difficulty getting treatment. online reports show officer kraemer worked her way up from dispatcher to patrol officer... and had been on the job five years. the victim, manuel burnley
