Reporter they say gusty winds expected to peak overnight are to blame for the latest round of outages. Utility wants more shutoffs could be coming this weekend. Good evening. Right now about 178,000 customers in 15 different counties are without power. Pg e said the number of customers will be losing power in san mateo and kern counties starting at 1 am. More than 400,000 people across Northern California. Most of them and the sierra foothills. In napa county about 7700 customers are affected. In Sonoma County the number is higher about 26,000 customers. Are without power. We have Team Coverage tonight. Bill martin is monitoring the wind conditions. We learned this morning that the trooper did something that may have saved his own life. Fill us in. Reporter yeah. That i say he had a turnicat on his belt we also know he will need more surgeries. He is fighting for his life inside saint lukes hospital. It was a traffic stop that turned into a brawl and gun b t battle. Just about an hour ago we learned more details about what happened along that highway. They say he was given a speeding ticket but then failed a sobriety test after failing to be under the influence of marijuana. He then began fighting with the troopers. He was able to run to his car and grab a gun and police say he then shot the two troopers. Dash cam shows him fleeing the scene, leaving behind Corporal Kelly, bleeding out with life threatening injuries. He was greatly injured at this point. He fell over the guardrail. Even through all of this he carrying a turnicat on his belt. He was able to pull it off of his belt and apply it to one of his wounds. More than likely
Of public works says 283 salt trucks and plows have been deployed to tackle this snowfall. About an hour ago they say garbage and recycling trucks hit the roads with mounted plow blades to clear side streets in the city. Salt trucks will remain on the main streets. The dpw says it plans to send out an additional 52 front end loaders along with 12 private plow truck throughout the morning. Well continue our a thats where we find our Julie Collins.
