missing earlier tonight. they were in the area of bulls island near river road. crews from across the river in bucks county are also helping in the search. we'll stay on top of the search and bring you new information as it becomes available. also developing now, death of bobby christina, the daughter of bobbi brown and late whitney house ton passed away at the age of 22. mark barringer looks back at her life. >> as the daughter of r & b singer bobby brown and pop icon whitney house toon bobbi bobbi bobbi bobbi kristina was put in front of the spotlight an as early age. 21-year-old brown was discovered face done and unresponsive in a bathtub in her atlanta home. when paramedics arrived they found her boyfriend, nick gordon performing cpr. >> according to family friends, brown struggled to cope after her mother's sudden passing. it was ruled an accident. but heart disease and cocaine were listed as contributing factors. a posting on brown's twitter account read, miss you, mommy so much. close to the anniversary of houston's death sparked questions. >> it is bizarre the same type of incident would happen involving a mother and daughter. >> brown never regained consciousness. her aunt sissy houston, said that doctors called it global and irreversible brain damage. police investigated the circumstances of the case but have not revealed results nor filed any charges. bob bobbi kristina's passing and deathlingers. >> beaten and robbed, 61-year-old man is attacked by three kids and all they took was his watch. a good samaritan rushed to help the man after the beating. it happened at gas station on east broadway in salem in south jersey. the victim was rushed to cooper hospital. randy, you spoke to that good samaritan. >> and denise he told me he was just in the right place at the right time and did the right thing, what anyone else in that situation should have done. just to note the cell phone video we are about to show has been blurred because it is so graphic. >> yeah i was going to the store and i seen a guy in the parking lot. >> reporter: james cooper works the night shift. around 1:00 a.m. he took a break it grab a snack. that's when he saw three kids take off running and a man beaten on the pavement. >> then i seen him stretched out on the ground. i said let me help this guy out, and igrabbed my phone. what happened, man, they robbed? >> reporter: the victim's face was so pummelled it was swelling twice its normal size. >> you stay there. all right, man, hold on p. let me get you some help man. he got beat bad. kicks, punches. i wish i could have got there earlier he to help him out. >> reporter: salem police say they are searching for three teenage suspect. they stole the victim's watch anding in else. >> who beats up a 61-year-old man. >> reporter: james is hoping someone knows the young suspects. in the meantime he visited the victim at the hospital. he is doing much better. james says the man doesn't have any family in the area so he was glad to see a friendly face. >> you know he happy to see me. i told him that night, look whatever happens, i will make sure you okay. i'll stick by your side. when i seen him today, he was actually happy. >> reporter: police say the victim's face was so swollen, so badly bruised, that it was almost impossible to get any information from him. detectives are still searching for the three teenage suspects and of course could use help from the public in south jersey. live at cooper hospital randy gyllenhaal, nbc 10 news. >> police tell us a woman's husband, steven burton the man you see here was taken into custody in maryland. wanted for questioning in connection of the attack. a woman heard a woman screaming overnight, she rushed over to see what was wrong. that's when she said she saw steven burton attack is his wife. >> when she let me in she was leaning against the wall with her arms up and all i could do was find paper towels stop the bleeding and she told me to go check on the daughter because he stabbed her too. when i went upstairs, the baby was just laying in all her blood. >> burton has multiple stab wounds. both she and her 1-year-old daughter deseret, are in critical condition. we will have much more coming up at 11:35. local residents are having a response when calling 911. emergency services said sprint wireless customers are hearing a squealing noise. so is the person answering phones at the 911 call center. that noise is making communication impossible. now both sprint and verizon are working to trouble shoot that problem. in bethlehem north ham den county township commissioners proposed a storm water tax to fight flash flooding. this comes after last month's storms cost the township $250,000. the proposed fee would be anywhere between 25 to $150 a year and could be used to fund storm water relief. township leaders are expected to meet again a week from tomorrow to discuss the proposal. >> now your nbc 10 to southeast. that will be the trend over the next couple of hours. so right now we're not seeing severe weather but we are seeing lightning. hearing thunder. drenching downpours where you see the darker shadings of martha county monroe county back into berks county. this is the trend over the next several hours and something to watch throughout the overnight hours. we are looking at 77 in philadelphia. 80 in allentown. 77 in lancaster. 65 in mount pocono. 76 in atlantic city. as you wake up tomorrow morning, we will wake up to mild temperatures. we will wake up to mild showers as well. by 1500:00 82. not quite as hot as later in the work week. we will talk more about that coming up. >> in a stunning news, the boy scouts of america is expected to lift its blanket ban on gay leaders tomorrow. the organization's executive committee unanimously approved a resolution it end the band later this month. if ratified bit boy scouts' executive board tomorrow it'll become official policy. this will allow groups to select adult leaders no matter their sexual orientation. however, some leadership jobs will still only go to heterosex actuals. >> an artist who made his livelihood from creating buyty out of disasters found himself the victim of thieves. artist brian ackley used chainsaws to make art after storms but his chainsaws were stolen in upper deerfield township cumberland things gone it's quite shocking. >> reporter: brian was hired in early july to salvage a family tree in washington township that had been damaged by storms. and the third generation saw mill owner upper deerfield township says the chainsaw art pays the bills. so a local farm store gave him two chainsaws on credit. and as word got out, the donations started. >> i don't even know this guy and he is offering me chainsaw. this good stuff. >> the outpouring of concern from the community has been very humbling. >> reporter: brian ackley said he heard from police. they arrested someone. but he tonight, police are looking for the people responsible for the damage. investigators tell us 18 vehicles had been or more tires slashed alongside swanson street and queen street in queen village. >> my jeep got slashed. but i was fortunate that my bmw didn't. but i'm on call it a hospital. so not having a car would be really bad thing. >> investigators aren't sure when the damage was done. neighbors tell us crews were out all day changing tires and making repairs. a miracle save after a home goes up in flames. how some residents were pulled out of the ashes. and on the prowl. more a suspect in custody and they have recovered a weapon. the ex son-in-law of former pennsylvania governor tom corbit is scheduled to stand trial tomorrow on theft charges. gerald gibson is accused of stealing money for a car for a sting operation in 2013. investigators say gibson was on duty as a philadelphia narcotics officer when the incident happened. a judge originally declared a mistrial last october. it is a reunion that one pennsylvania family did not think was possible. there are two dogs who were believed to have died in a husband fire yesterday or found alive today. investigators say smoking is to blame for the fire that destroyed the home. it started around 5:00 p.m. yesterday on bridal path lane in east follow field chester county. the family escaped unharmed but the pet were nowhere to be found. police say firefighters found the dogs in a spekd floor bedroom today. now these are photos of the animals, amazingly they are doing well. in milwaukee, wisconsin, police are still on the hunt for a lion on the loose. this comes off several recent sightings. a city has been on lion alert ever since the cell phone video of the animals surfaced this past week. residents are told to keep their pets indoors. last night the lion was spotted by people at a cookout and it wasn't alone. at first there was one, then a baby came up. i was scared. scareder than ever. >> police say they last saw the big cat early this morning. they got close to it but the cat outfoxed them. turning now to decision 2016 donald trump may be a controversial figure and that might be helping him in the polls. according to a new nbc news poll trump is leading in the early nominating state of new hampshire. right now he is supported by 21% of potential gop primary voters followed by jeb bush scott walker kasich. chris christie isfide for fifth. trump comes in second following walker in another poll. trump made a number of controversial comments on immigration, john mccain and other topic since announcing his run for president. and there are currently 16 republicans seeking the presidential nomination. the democratic field is far less crowded with five declared candidates in the race. oak lane house. denise burton and her 21-month-old baby are in critical condition. speaking with neighbors who came as they heard frantic screams for help. >> the way she was screaming it wasn't a woman says she found a box of cremated remains near oak dale and 26th streets in philadelphia strawberry mansions sections this morning. according to the name of the box the remains are that of linda upshire. she died in 2007. neighbors we spoke to did not recognize the woman's name and they are wondering why someone would leave the remains in a vacant lot. >> why put it out like it's trash?
