In todays case Police Chased and arrested the suspect who was not hurt. The other two shootings, the suspects were killed. A day before an officer shot a 28yearold who say theyd charged at him with knives following a family fight at a home in east san joses foothills. They have a number of challenges. Some of them would include access to resources with opportunities. One of the challenges we think about is literacy at an early level. A lot of the girls are not reading by grade level in third grade. When they are ready for college, a third of the girls in oakland are not actually graduating from high school. Let alone they arent going on to college. Through our College Access program, all of our seniors graduated from high school at 100 that will go off to college. Wow. The near record sierra snow pack this month is starting to melt. Boosting the water level near lake tahoe and raising flood concerns. Reporter the water levels in the Truckee River are impressive, but actually lower than they were. The river bike trail is beginning to reemerge around 1,200 cubic feet per seconds. Off limits to any swimmers, raptors, kayakers. Water will continue to rack up the mountain side, surprising many residents. In some cases the snow melt will fall on the channels, bubbling out of the ground. This sight is all too common. The north tahoe Fire District has been getting dozens of calls from homeowners who you would see water seeping into their homes. Normal areas that have runoffs are seeing a heightened amount right now. Those areas cant hold the water. We responded to calls in different residents. To help mitigate that issue. Reporter from diversion and digging, its something they cant handle. A lot of panic can be avoided if homeowners would survey their surroundings before they would get much warmer.
