A 9yearold boy from novato suffering from severe head trauma and spine arinjuries after falling through a skylight at his Elementary School. Tara moriarty is live where he is now in intensive care. Reporter well, good morning. 9yearold William Wells suffered head trauma when he fell. They say he will make it. But it will be a long road ahead. He will need most likely a full body cast. While doctors were doing a scan, they discovered a previously undiagnosed condition, a benign cyst on his brain. Lets take a look at pictures taken from inside the hospital. This is William Wells. You can see the large bump on his head. He also suffered seven fractures in his spine as well as internal bleeding. While they were playing basketball, aparently one of them kicked the ball. They went on the roof. Hes very lucky. He could have landed on something, he could have landed a lot harder. It could have been fatal. Reporter School Officials at Hamilton School have not commented on how the 9yearold was able to access the roof. But they have said that their hearts go out to the family. They are pushing back against an order to vacate. The deadline to leave was this past saturday. That deadline has come and gone. The port of San Francisco is ordering this restaurant here along the water front at pier 2 to close down so the building can be demolished to make way for more piers. Theyve been serving up seafood and drinks with spectacular bayviews for the past four decades. They said on their Facebook Page the restaurant remains open. Now, the port has been trying to close sinbads down since 2012. The plan is to use that space to expand ferry and Water Taxi Service near pier 2. The brothers who own the restaurant told the chronicle that they are trying to work out a deal to keep the restaurant open for one more week. The end may not be here just yet but it is in sight. And this is told a fight that could heat up as we move throughout the day as the owners may be served with an actual eviction order at some point later on today. All right. The proposal would allow a large apartment complex or houses to be built on land along highway 24 across from the high school. The agreement, which would be extended to july, stops the clock on a lawsuit over the terraces apartment complex. The city considers the Smaller Development of houses. Some of the neighbors have actively opposed this project for years. They are really concerned about traffic and what they say is an already congested area. 7 07. Without acknowledging the threat is real, the pentagon is urging vigilance this morning after an online threat from isis against the families of u. S. Military members. The pentagon is concerned about an online hit list posted by a group claiming to be the Hacking Division. The posting shows the pictures, names and addresses of 100 military members. They say the list is like marching orders for lone wolves and isis inspired operatives. They have a hacking disk vis. They have all of these different divisions. They are getting to a point where they are very organized and are pressing just as hard in social media and online as they are on the battlefield. U. S. Political sas say it doesnt appear that the information came from any hacking activity but rather from public records and social media postings. The marine corps is urging its personnel to check what kind of information theyve posted online and limit how much information is available. Tensions are increasing in yemen. That could possibly mean millions more if she wins. The judge said theres enough evidence for jurors to find malice or other grounds for punitive damages.
