Were right in the middle of the perimeter set up by Contra Costa County Sheriffs Office and the chp and pacheco and arthur road in martinez. It remains an active scene. Several officers remain. It remains unclear, though, if they are looking for other suspects involved in the car chase and possible robbery. When we first arrived on scene, we were told to move because of a homeowner nearby that sawen is trying to break into a home. Before we went on air, around 6 15, several officers were around an industrial building. You see one person being detained. That person remains there this morning. I did speak with chp who said they are working to identify him. Hes connected to the high speed chase that started in the sacramento earlier this morning. As we go to video now from earlier, this is a car that crashed into a fence, according to the chp, the chase started in the sacramento area with the chp from Solano County first giving chase to the suspect car. We understand that speeds got close to 100 miles miles an hour. The car crashed into a fence off arthur road. People inside fled. Three people were caught. Officers were looking for one, possibly two more people. K9 units canvassed the area. They set up the perimeter. They did detain one person.
