eat up, me hearties! keep it down! i'm exploring the galaxy. good morning. welcome back. it's 5:19. our audio is working. let's check the roads. so far, so good. in fact, you want to skip the roads this morning and use mass transit. everything is right on time. no delays systemwide. ace train looks good. caltrain and muni metro. the one thing that's still in effect for bart they are still running shuttle trains between north concord and bay point. everything else is on time for bart this morning. okay. over to the freeways we go. here's a live look at conditions along the peninsula. 101 no delays right now. northbound 101, you're in luck. got early flight to catch at sfo you won't see any troubles this morning. in fact, most of the peninsula is off to a good start. in fact, we are in the green which means speeds are above 55 miles per hour this morning. here's a look at your drive time. north 101, 10 minutes 280 from 380 to the james lick freeway and no delays now eastbound 92 out of half moon bay. once you hit 280 over to 101, that's only a five-minute ride this morning. typical westbound 580 out of the altamont pass. mostly coming away from tracy making that connector from 205 over to 580. we are going to see a little yellow on the sensors until greenville so speeds around 40 miles per hour for the most part but it eases up nicely at the dublin interchange. a little foggy though making that connector to 680. let's check the bay bridge right now where traffic is moving along with no problems overall a few cars maybe about 15, 20 cars deep in some of the cash lanes. but still fairly quiet. no metering lights just yet only 18 minutes off the carquinez bridge to the maze. most of our bay area bridges same story. not seeing any troubles westbound 880 to 101. also looking good if you head across oakland. northbound 880, not a bad ride at all near the coliseum. southbound traffic is clear all the way into hayward. tonight we have the warriors taking on the mavericks at oracle arena at 7:30 so extra busy along 880. it is a getaway day as well so traffic will really start to build in those afternoon hours especially after 2:00. expect delays along the eastshore freeway and southbound 101 if you are heading towards southern california and highway 5, as well. all right. brian you're very busy this morning. >> that looks good on the roads. the weather is looking good, as well. some patchy fog out this morning but aside from that the numbers begin in the low 50s. for the most part, a few chillier locations. 48 san jose. san francisco right now at 52 degrees. high pressure builds over the west coast. that means warmer -- well, slightly warmer weather today and tomorrow. weekend looks dry and nice. low pressure will eventually begin to effect some changes on wednesday. between now and then it will be high and dry in the bay area. mixture of sun and clouds after patchy fog this morning. this weekend looks dry. more unsettled next week as low pressure comes in and cools things down and maybe a little bit of rain wednesday and thursday. we'll see. meantime, not a bad beach weekend actually. and if you head to the hills, 53 degrees tomorrow at tahoe. and a chance of snow and a mix of rain by late on sunday with temperatures then in the mid- 50s. that's tahoe. specifically, at alpine meadows new snow, no. but that's on a base of 96 to 152 inches of packed powder with 13 lifts today. sun and clouds at kirkwood same thing no new snow. snow base up to 109 inches with packed powder and 12 lifts operating. and at squaw valley it's looking nice. partly cloudy skies, base of up to 160 inches and 25 lifts still working at squaw valley on what is by now a little bit. nice. 72 in santa rosa. 72 for napa. the same at fairfield. closer to the east bayshore line upper 60s. 70 san jose today. 66 in the city. extended forecast calls for mighty nice through the weekend with finally some changes coming by wednesday and thursday weather we might get a little bit of rain. stay tuned. good morning, everyone. former sharks head coach todd mclellan was looking to deny the sharks a play-off spot at least for one night. his oilers hit the ice in san jose. fans barely time to find their seats when roman polack fires from palo alto! again! again! again! again? again! again! general mills is removing artificial flavors and colors from our cereals. so you can love cereal... as we look at the golden gate bridge operating proudly and boldly since may of 1927, it looks pretty good this morning. we'll have the complete forecast coming up in just a few minutes. the man dubbed the bearded bandit by the fbi was trying to ditch his beard when he was caught. this dashcam video shows him. he was captured after a drugstore stopper spotted him buying razors to shave his head and beard. he was wanted for 15 crimes including 11 robberies in several counties in northern california. he is suspected of hitting banks in fremont, dublin and gilroy among others. the robberies started more than a month ago. ellis is currently held at the martinez detention facility. the awesomely named joint powers authority that runs the oakland coliseum is expected to approve a lease an extension for the raiders this morning. that deal would need approval from the city council and alameda county supervisors for the one year deal. it would keep the raiders in oakland at least through the upcoming season with an option for up to two more years. a lot of good things happening for the warriors steph curry this season and now he is immortalized in wax. curry himself was on hand in oakland yesterday for the unveiling of the wax figure at the marriott citycenter hotel the likeness going on display at the madam toussaud museum in san francisco. curry says it brings back memories. it's funny story for me and my wife. our first date in l.a. we went to the museum on hollywood boulevard and that was one of our first experiences together walking through and taking pictures of all the wax figures in that museum. and now to have one of my own, um, is pretty special. >> his wife and children were there for the unveiling. you probably have heard of his oldest daughter riley. there she is holding the figure's arm for a photo session. she is so cute. here's the real and wax steph curry posted by the warriors on instagram. a seal pup who wandered far from the shores in good hands this morning. it ended up in the front yard at a home in fremont on osgood road. there he is now. it's quite a way from the bay. the homeowner says it's at least a few miles from the bay. >> we don't know where it came from. unbelievable. even officers told me when he got the call on the radio he thought they said navy seal.
