This incident spread across two counties and ended with a shootout between Law Enforcement and one of the suspects. According to lyon mcneil. A deputy was shot in the hand. The threatening. According to lyon county sheriff al mcneil. One of those injured was a lyon county deputy. He was shot in the hand. The injury is non life threatening. The sheriff tells us the incident started as a report of a stolen vehicle in sparks around 9 30 last night. A short time later around 10 p. M. The sheriff says a lyon county deputy spotted the stolen vehicle. A red chevy cruze. In the parking lot of the Silver Springs nugget. As the officer approached the vehicle. Someone in the car shot at him. At which time the officer returned fire. Sheriff mcneil says that suspect was killed. A second person in the vehicle was also shot. Mcneil says everyone involved is accounted for and there is currently not threat to Public Safety. Sheriff al mcneil Lyon County Sheriffs Office at this point we have all the subjects accounted for. One of the subjects did admit it was just the four of them in the vehicle. The second person who was shot was flown to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is not known. The deputy involved in the shooting was also taken to a hospital for the injury to his hand. Two other people ran later arrested. The names of the 4 suspects and the deputy involved have not been released. Sheriff mcneil was not able to say how many shots were fired or how many weapons were recovered at the scene. The investigation is being handled by the Nevada Department of investigations. Deputies from the Washoe County Sheriffs Office say one vehicle was involved in the crash. Driving the vehicle had taken to the hospital deputies believe alcohol may be a factor in this crash. Investigators from the El Dorado County are searching for 24year old Domenic Seanlee Randolph vaccaro. They believe these two men were involved in the murder of Dennis Wright on january 30th at the beverly lodge. Theyre considered armed and dangerous. Last week, 18yearold tristan batten and 20 yearold harvest davidson were arrested for their alleged involvement in the murder. A former guard at a Southern Nevada prison is being accused of smuggling cellphones and drugs to inmates. 41yearold Michael James was arrested last month on suspicion of bribery, and potentially supplying a phone to a prisoner. Wallace claims the boy fell and hit his head but, prosecutors say that cant be true and the boys injuries prove this point. We dont have to prove that the injuries were accidental.
