That person has to be state certified. Were hearing from schools in redwood city, cupertino, here in san jose, about this short an. We did hear from the San Jose Unified School district. They say they have not seen this problem at all. Now to more details on the requirements to be a sub in the Alum Rock School district. You must have a bachelors degree, must pass the california basic skills test or the cbest, and you must past a fingerprint test with the department of justice. The average pay for a substitute teacher in the Alum Rock School district is 130 a day. New fallout in the Domestic Abuse case involving San Francisco 49er ray mcdonald. The San Jose Police Department Says officers for now can no longer moonlight with the team. That announcement comes as the department continues to investigate reports that mcdonald called a san jose officer to his home before the official 911 call went out for the incident in august. Mcdonald was arrested on suspicion of felony Domestic Violence against his pregnant fiance. Over a dozen San Jose Police officers work with the niners in the same capacity. Any time you lose a member of the fire service in the line of duty like this, you know, its very challenging. Very sad. Our hearts go out to the family of mr. Hunt. He died courageously. Reporter Jeffrey Craig hunt was battling the dog rock fire near the West Entrance to Yosemite National park when his air tanker went down. This video shows the moments right after the crash. This is just one more reminder of the ultimate sacrifice of some of the firefighters. And really the risk that comes with doing the profession that we chose to do. Reporter hunt, a private contractor for the California Department of forestry, was piloting an s2t tanker when the crash happened. It can carry up to 1,200 gallons of retard ant and is prized for maneuverability in steep terrain. After the crash, cal fire grounded its remaining 22 air tankers to assess their safety and their pilots comfort level. Its something where, you know, it affects everybody as a whole. Reporter today federal officials clears the tankers to fly again after an investigation found no structural or aging aircraft issues. The ntsb continued to investigate the cause of the crash. A controversial sale of several bay area hospitals. Employees say they will fight to block it. Local Health Care Unions are gearing up to block the sale of four area hospitals to a controversy buyer . Oconnor hospital is a key part of this deal along with facilities in gilroy, daly city, moss beach, and los angeles. The buyer is prime health care which owns hospitals in california and eight other states. Primes track record of acquiring hospitals in california is poor. They have a record of Cutting Services after they buy hospitals, reducing staff, and generally just lowering the quality of care that they extend to the community. Theres usually going to be some layoffs in the beginning when were doing this. But then within a year we normally have more clinical jobs in our hospitals, maybe less administrative. Union members say theyll lobby state attorney general Kamala Harris to block that sale. Heightened concerns on the peninsula. Four separate cases of flashers this week. Police released this sketch this afternoon of a man thought to be behind the most two recent cases. The latest happened this morning in belmont outside a coffee shop on el camino real. Police say the man was driving a white bmw. The description matches a flashing case yesterday that involved a woman on her bike in palo alto. Those two cases followed two cases on monday and tuesday in palo alto targeting young girls. On wednesday Police Released the sketch on the right to those cases. Police say the vehicle descriptions in the two most recent cases do not match the descriptions from earlier this week. Jeff ranieris seen fair and hes seen rain and theyre both in the forecast. By tuesday, temperatures will drop into the 70s for the south bay. For the peninsula 89 by sunday. 74 by tuesday. Hot and then cooler. You can see San Francisco expecting 80s throughout the back half of the weekend. Then 60s possible by tuesday. And a chance of showers there. Well get you to the north bay, east shore, and trivalley. Also dramatic differences here for the trivalley from 95 on sunday down to 80 expected by tuesdays forecast. As mentioned with that hotter weather this weekend, there is a red flag fire warning in effect for the hills above 1,000 feet. As far as our typhoon goes, the vest on vongfong, winds at 125 miles per hour. Okinawa is going to get slammed by this storm system the next 24 hours. Likely a category 3 system. But this is going to be continuing across japan all the way into monday. Travel from the immediate through monday, youre going to have some travel impacts from this storm system. Reporter many of vallejos downtown sculptures have disappeared. In fact, this large redwood sculpture you see behind me is one of the few large pieces erected in the 60s that is Still Standing.
