Police say the driver of the white toyota 4runner was 50 yards away in another part of the parking lot and then witnesses said it sounded like he gunned his engine. His car began to lurch forward, driving over two sidewalks, then smashing into the tables here. Eight people injured, rushed to the hospital. San jose police say the driver may have had some sort of a medical emergency right before the collision. This is near capital and mckie in san jose. But that chase covered parts of 280 and 680. Sometimes at speeds of more than 120 miles per hour.
