Non-travellers now account for more than 97% of sales on the iShopChangi duty free shopping platform, according to Changi Airport Group (CAG). In a keynote video address during *The APTRA APAC Dialogue virtual event hosted today (17 March), CAG Executive Vice President, Commercial Lim Peck Hoon said the e-commerce portal has moved from being largely a âbuy-and-fly’ model for travellers to a marketplace for domestic buyers. IShopChangi allows Singapore residents to benefit from tax-absorbed goods for home delivery. Addressing webinar attendees, Peck Hoon said the landlord has been forced to re-think the way it approaches its customers as a result of the decimation to passenger numbers in the wake of Covid-19.
