Development Watch Lyn Saxton earlier this month lamented the fact the revelations hadn't come out after the initial council approval, as they could've launched a judicial review and sidestepped the costly process.
She said she expected any issues raised with council processes would have to be dealt with separately, not as part of the ongoing legal case.

Within the thousands of pages released was an email trail which revealed council planning assessment officers had been preparing to recommend refusal of the billion-dollar development just weeks before it was eventually recommended for, and granted approval by councillors in June, 2018.
