Oklahoman For many Christian preachers and their congregations, Easter 2020 brought an unthinkable scenario to vivid life: Church buildings were closed on the holiest day in the Christian calendar. This year, most metro-area churches are hosting in-person worship services to celebrate Christ's resurrection, and several have literally thought outside the box by offering outdoor Easter services — in a variety of locations — because the COVID-19 pandemic is still a concern. Frontline Edmond will host 9 and 11 a.m. worship services on Sunday at the Mitch Park Amphitheater, 1501 W Covell in Edmond. Fifth Street Baptist Church is planning a "Pull Up and Praise" Easter service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday outside Millwood High School, 6724 N Martin Luther King Ave.
