the covid-19 vaccinations kessler is a professor of pediatrics and epidemiology at ucsf he was also appointed as fda commissioner in the 90's by both president hw bush and president bill clinton. during his address yesterday president elect biden took a moment to remember the first person to have died from the coronavirus here in the bay area. >>on february the 6th in 2020. patricia dowd took it was first detected in in the uk, yeah, this that's popped up, was also shown in south africa. it hasn't made its way too. well has our shores who are sure yeah so we asked one of the doctors tracking the case is why the mutation keeps popping up. >>these variants emerge and these variants occur because you have ongoing cycles of infection. so as long as the pandemic is raging as long as blossom trees in san francisco and there it is and hopefully that will help police officers tracked him down. >>so this vandalism took place over the course of 3 days and in this video actually shows a suspect ripping the limbs off these trees which stand 12 to 15 feet tall as i said over 3 days this was happening leaving nothing but to treat trucks outside the center's office on center street in san francisco in the local say they're devastated as a suspect not only destroy the trees but destroyed a part of history as well. >>trees were planted in 1994. to cameron brate the visit of the emperor and empress of japan, japan to that to that community center. and they replant there's some of the first che blasting trees to be planted in japantown since redevelopment there's been a mid to upper 60's and for about view up to 70 degrees very close to that and saying carlos up to 69, south bay highs in the low 70's as well for los gatos cupertino campbell and san jose as for investigating a murder suicide involving a 9 year-old boy. >>and a person believed to be his father. this happened on wednesday night at a home along scott street in the marina district. the san francisco police department they found a 9 year-old boy and possibly his father dead inside an apartment building. neighbors described the building in areas generally quiet so learning about this has been very unsettling. >>that's incredibly heartbreaking i can't imagine something like that happening. in this neighborhood just truly devastated and we don't really know why so. >>unknown who lived there. just pretty unfortunate what happened. >>officials are still investigating poll. but police right now say there's no threat to anybody else in that particular neighborhood. >>the man who was in charge of oakland's ghost ship warehouse will be back in court later this month derick almena is expected to plead guilty to 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter for each person who died. in that fire back in december of 2016 and attorneys for 13 of the victim's family says that a man is taking responsibility by pleading guilty. but the judicial system is failing to hold him accountable. if the judge goes along with the sentencing as planned. he will serve less than 9 years in this plea deal because of good behavior and the time that he's already served now elmen is living in lake county with his family after being released from santa rita jail because of the covid-19 pandemic he wears an ankle bracelet and that tracked his every move. >>it made it so that there no fire projections
