>> brian: weakness is political weakness. the japanese prime minister is up could be done in the fall. justin trudeau is the most unpopular person around. is he pliable and flexible. we know he likes doing yoga and exceedingly handsome. the people of canada hate him. >> steve: would you say he is supple if is he flexible. >> brian: when you looked up supple? what happened? turns out i used it in the right context. >> ainsley: did you. >> lawrence: "wall street journal" puts it little doubt the weakness on display is this week hardly makes the leaders in moscow, beijing, tehran worry about the collective resolve of the leading democracy. this lack of leadership is especially dangerous when the enemies of the west are filled with that article is telling. she is the one i'm always watching, fascinated with her leadership. her party did well in the european elections and the western leader out of the g-7 group they don't care about the borders immigration. they care about green mania, green religion cropped up. turned off the people of europe. often the canary in the coal mine for us. i'm encouraged that their policies that aren't working led to a weak defense and no national pride getting a rebuke from the people these folks have not been kind to the former president. they have joined the current president in what they say the fears of him returning back to office meanwhile in their own country -- suspects not like there is this rallying call in their own countries for them to return. >> steve: these are the leaders of the world democracy. >> brian: for now. >> steve: historically. it's kind of tragic the fact that they are so in the ditch right now. that's why meloni is kind of the standout and seems almost met fork call that she is directing the president. okay. let me show you the way. >> brian: i love seeing zelenskyy. i would love to see netanyahu. a great moment to rally around israel? they are a power couple and very attractive people. >> ainsley: go for it, lawrence. >> lawrence: what this happening overseas with the current president. the former president made his first return back to capitol hill talking with senators talking with congress. looked like for the first anytime a while there is some type of republican unit even mitt romney who said he wasn't going to attend initially attended. >> brian: did i not know that. he did not go. the peace treaty with mitch mcconnell stood out with me. >> steve: former president wept out of his way to praise mitch mcconnell. they shook hands. trumpmitch was not the reason republicans lost seeds no 2022 although he said the opposite before. he blamed abortion instead. he told both the house and the senators their abortion positions caught them seats in 2022 he said the republicans should adopt the position that the law should allow for abortion in the case of rape, incest and life of the mother. that's an issue that sharply divides the republicans, including speaker mike johnson because he does not back any exceptions for abortion. he also, trump said, he loves tariffs and even floated the idea of replacing the income tax with revenue from tariffs, he also appeared on logan paul's podcast yesterday, which i have never downloaded before but it's got a catchy name. it's impulsive. >> ainsley: young and a fighter. his brother is about to have a big fight. >> brian: yeah, a big -- i guess he is huge on tiktok influencer and very good shape. good shape had a good time with him. >> steve: is he supple? >> brian: i would love to be that supple. very pliable and bendable he does not need stretch lab so that's important. couple things stood out. number one, the president also went out of his way to say i wish that governor hogan becomes the next senator and hogan came back and says by the way i'm not voting for him. that's a very street smart thing to say. >> ainsley: i like this because it's interesting to watch what is happening on tiktok whether or not you like tiktok or not you want a ban, whatever. president trump, he gets on. he has more followers on day one than joe biden does -- has overall. then he goes on logan paul's show. it just shows he is trying to connect with the young people set. doing better with the young people. it used to be -- remember in college everyone was a democrat. you had to be a democrat -- most people were. because they just believe they hadn't paid taxes yet. they aren't fiscally conservative yet. to go on this show. and then he hands them t-shirts of his mugshot and they are laughing about it. >> steve: logan paul goes is that your mugshot? he goes you are such a gangster, mr. president. >> brian: here he is, let's listen. >> for other young people in this country who are looking to get ahead because, for a lot of them, times are tough right now. >> that's right. >> what would you say to them? kids who want to pursue their own version of the american dream and try to achieve their wildest dreams and make it all come true? >> i would say very simply, honestly, vote for trump. because, with biden you're never going to do it. this country is going to hell. with young people we are doing very well. i say vote for trump. if you don't have the right guy in the lead the country is not -- you know, if the country doesn't do well, it's much harder to do even what you do, okay? even what you do. so that would be a simple message. >> lawrence: had a better idea first home under the administration. telling these young people look, i want to rewrite the tax code where you don't have to pay money on those tips. there is always been this talk about the big tent of the republican party. but you are actually starting to see. i think he is set to be in detroit this weekend to be at a black church to rally some support there he also, yesterday, we didn't talk about this, as he was talking about larry hogan and mitch mcconnell looked at marjorie taylor greene and say are you being nice to the speaker? >> steve: we know the answer to that. >> lawrence: i think that was kind of the former president's way of telling her knock it off. >> ainsley: right. >> lawrence: knock it off. >> ainsley: in a nice way. lauren. >> brian: on monday the speaker is going to mar-a-lago he gave the speaker on pat on the back. a lot of people aren't on board with the speaker but the former president is is he going to mitch began tomorrow. now that he doesn't have to go to court and everyone focus on debate and july 11th and rnc. we will see what happens. >> ainsley: invited president biden on his show. trump said that would be great. weave need to hear from him. it would be a wonderful addition to your show. less than 1% he is going to say yes to that but invite him. >> steve: logan paul said i haven't once he figures out. >> brian: howard stern why not go on logan paul. >> steve: why not come on fox. we have a couch. >> brian: bret asks him every day. it's an easier commute. >> steve: i think our bookers ask every day, too. we ask every day and she shows up. >> carley: i say yes, please, and thank you to appearing on "fox & friends." >> brian: oh, okay. >> carley: yes, guys. we have more news to get to starting with a fox news alert. a detective in scottsdale, arizona was killed in the line of duty last night in what police are calling a critical incident. police say ryan sowell died from, quote: duty related injuries after being rushed to the hospital last night. right now officials are not revealing any other specifics surrounding his death. they say there is no threat to the community. he has served as a scottsdale police officer for nine years. he was also a navy veteran. and he leaves behind a wife and three children. check out this shocking video with smash and grab at a jewelry store near san jose, california. about 20 thieves armed with tools and hammers bashed those glass cases. my goodness. the suspects ran off before officers arrived, naturally. police say five people have been arrested and they are still looking for the rest of the smash-and-grab crew. take a look at this: a train barreling into an 18-wheeler in georgia after the tractor-trailer stalled on the tracks and people inside thankfully he moved quickly with only section to spare. the man who took this video checked on the driver after the incident. >> you all right, man? [horn blowing] [inaudible] >> i laid on my horn to try to get you to. >> thankfully the trucker made it out unharmed but that is what you call a close call. jerry seinfeld and his wife jessica are celebrating son's high school graduation and they gave him a flip phone as a gift. seinfeld's better half, his wife, explaining an instagram post gave him a flip phone for graduation and hopes he will turn in his smart phone. if i knew then what i know now, i would have waited until age 14 to give him a smart phone. he got handed down an old phone at age 12 for the bus ride to school in the bronx and now she is saying let's encourage the flip phone use because smart phones are so many dangers and things that ogo along with that. >> brian: wright state new york is going to be the first to have some type of age limit to use an iphone if this passes the legislation. >> steve: we have had people on the show who have talked a little bit about how you think the smart phone is going to make you smarter. it actually rewires your brain. she posted that on instagram. i was reading some of the comments, carley. and one of the people said i gave my kid a flip phone and now he is paying attention to me. >> lawrence: i like the idea. do you think parents are going to do it though? >> pete: not much good, steve. i think, like our viewers, we see these stories and it almost feels like the clock is ticking, right, when you consider -- we don't know his status, we don't know his legal status. we don't know if he owned the gun legally or not. and those are things we will learn in due time. but, when you let over 10 million people into your country and you don't know who they are and where they are coming from, stories like this are all the more concerning. and, when you look at the details, 1:30 in the morning, a blacked out suv, it happened -- it's not as if the cops were ahead of this. there was one vigilant law enforcement officer in the middle of the night who spotted something suspicious, stopped him and they stumbled upon this, so, this is why we need cops. this is why they are the frontline for us. this is why they are so important. but he could have done a lot of damage, unfortunately. it looked like he was trying to be incognito. pose as an officer. get access to somewhere and cause mayhem. we live in a dangerous world. we have a lot more people who we don't know are here. and this -- and, yet, we have fundamentally unserious level at the serious level. national level. that is what has so many people uneasy at this moment, steve. >> we just showed video of him being peppered by reporters with questions when he was being transferred to refresh my recollection island. and he didn't say anything. but, when one of the reporters said, hey, did you buy all that stuff on amazon? he just got a great big grin. he didn't answer and we don't know where he got the stuff. it will be interesting to see what he says on monday. meanwhile, let's go to the west coast. here's governor gavin newsom talking a little bit about what he is doing to make sure nobody crosses our southern border who shouldn't be here. >> we're back down here at the border at tijuana right behind me, san diego sector. san ysidro port of entry. >> we are just down here with the national guard meeting with customs agents, as well as border patrol and talking about our partnerships men and women working fentanyl. the republican party standing in the way of providing the resources to support for the men and women working hard not only here at the border but throughout the state of california. >> steve: so is he sending more of the state troops to the southern border but, bill melugin says he hasn't seen anybody. >> pete: and same with the border patrol agents. this is window dressing just like what joe biden did with this new policy at the border which supposedly limits the amount of people that come through and kicks in some iron curtain that drops and the border is closed and no one can come in today except the whole thing is a sham. it's a farce, it's a political posturing. five months before an election to try to make people think that something is being done. and what they really want to do, steve, they want to prevent bill melugin and griff jenkins from being able to report the invasion that's happening on our southern border. do you know why he is having to focus on california? [ engine revving ] [ laughing ] the dodge hornet r/t. the totally torqued-out crossover. ♪ >> lawrence: a fox weather alert. south florida is bracing for the fourth day of heavy rain and flooding over the past few days, roads across the region have been swamped. and there are still tons of cars left abandoned in the street. some schools were forced to shut down and many flights are delayed or even canceled. more than 7 million people are still under flood watches today. check in with our senior meteorologist janice dean for our fox weather forecast. >> janice: another day of heavy rainfall. it won't be as bat as it has been over the past few days. look at the rainfall totals over 2 feet in parts of south florida and we could get an additional two to four inches in south florida over the next couple of days. you see the future radar and the crowds. the area of low pressure that we were watching has moved across the peninsula and in towards the atlantic. but we're still going to see the scattered showers through the weekend and into monday. here is the invest we are watching, the tropics right now do not think it's going to develop and a cold front going to sweep of it t. offshore. that's a great thing, we are watching the gulf coast though. an area of low pressure that we think is going to potentially develop over the next few days and bring heavy rain along the gulf coast as we get into next week. watching that. forecast today we could see showers, thunderstorms, maybe even severe weather for the central and southern high plains as well as the northeast. we have got that cold front that's going to move through, bring you the potential for, you know, some thunderstorms, but do you know what? behind it amazing for the northeast. look at this, father's day forecast. most cities look okay. we do have the heat moving in towards the mississippi river valley and some showers and thunderstorms for the upper midwest. but new york looks spectacular. >> lawrence: you know j.d. it's been a minute since you have given a forecast amazing and chef's kiss that means it's going to be a great weekend. thanks my friend. so both presidential campaigns hitting the ground running in swing states. this weekend the vice president kamala harris is in georgia as part of her economic opportunity tour. and in michigan tomorrow former president trump is holding a round table with detroit church leaders and residence. "fox & friends first" talked to one of those pastors, watch. >> i believe our current president has forgotten that the reason why he is in office because the first black president selected him as the vice president and because he is selected a black vice president right now. i think sometimes we forget the power of the black voice and the black vote. >> lawrence: trump holds a slight lead in both of those key swing states. look that the right there on the screen. former police chief james craig joins us now. i'm looking at this all playing out and it looks like the former president is making ground. what does it mean when he is coming to detroit talking with the black church, holding the round table? is that helpful? >> you know, lawrence, first, let me say hello to you and thank you for having me on your segment. >> lawrence: i'm loving this beard, brother. >> you're loving it. >> lawrence: i'm loving it, brother. >> well, i'm trying to catch up with you. it is a big deal. there is a lot of excitement. people in detroit, i'm talking about black detroiters who are mostly democrat are saying they are sick and tired of the gas pump, groceries, illegal immigration and, do you know what? i have a lot of friends that work at at the atlantis and the uaw they don't like the electric mandates. the city is great city. i'm looking forward to the visit and i will be there and i certainly have to give a lot of credit to pastor zoe and other clergy leaders that will be there as well. >> lawrence: tell me this, we saw this in the bronx rally as the former president starts to make ground when it comes to black males, younger voters, minority voters it, seems like many people on the left are starting to racialize the politics again. put out these hateful messages saying that the former president is no fan of people in the community. the question is, is it going to work or are they more concerned about their economic state as you just pointed out? >> i think they are concerned about the economics. i think they are concerned about our national safety. they are concerned about and crime, of course, that's always a top issue. yes, i think it's going to work now. detroit has largely been a democrat city for as long as i can been alive. in fact, the first republican and only republican mayor in the city of detroit was in 1955. people are sick and tired. i have had a lot of conversations in my barbershop we talk about politics all the time. these are african-american men. and they say they are ready for change. some are very quiet. they may not speak out loud, but they come to me and i will tell you. it pays more than ever, because of behavior. according to nearly 70% have said sportsmanship is the reason and it's getting worse. over half of the male and female officials report feeling actually unsafe on the field, let alone the verbal abuse. the worst offenders in all of this? >> they are getting worse because we are not holding people accountable for their actions. that's the first thing. parents and coaches have to be better educated in the laws of the game or the rules of the road if you will. and they have to be held accountable for their behaviors. >> brian: why are things getting worse there was a time parents never went to the games. now they are so involved with their kids they get irate at the people wearing the striped shirts. >> yeah. and in this country, we allow that to happen. if we start enforcing -- if we start enforcing the laws and enforcing the behavior of the coaches and parents and educated them, it will foster respect for the game. and that's what we are missing right now is respect for the game. >> brian: looks like, for example, on long island and nassau county. they are losing an average of 43 refs and umps. suffolk county lost 300 plus. even though the money is better than ever. get in and out in an hour. the verbal abuse is expected. what makes it so hard now? what makes it so hard for people to stay on the job and keep the whistle around their neck? >> it's the abuse that they take on the field and sometimes the abuse that they take off the field. part of this has to do with social media as well, brian. there is so much exposure on social media of what -- of what behavior is taking place on the field. that it's -- it's allowing bad behavior and what we allow we encourage. we have to stop that. >> brian: so you have a 15-year-old that wants a part-time job. they go to you for training. they want to pick up some games on the weekends. you tell them they have to have a thick skin. which is it too much?
