>> i have had enough of a guy who sounds like chatgpt standing up here. the last person who stood in the middle of the stage and said what is a skinny guy with an odd last name doing up here was barack obama and we are dealing with the same type of amateur. now is not the time for on-the-job training. >> today, ukraine is not a priority for the united states. >> under your watch, you will make america less. you have no foreign policy experience and it shows. >> the reviews are in from the liberal media. i don't think they liked it very much. >> it is terrible. i felt like he was performing. >> it was so miserable. >> the public got treated to a heap of crazy. >> he was disrespectful, territorial, obnoxious at times. >> you have been talking to everybody about your thoughts. tell us what you thought about last night. >> i loved it. i was glued to the television. i love democracy in action. to me it was like talking to a jury. the american people are the jury. these people are the lawyers trying to sell themselves to the american people. i thought he was the populist guy who was the nonpolitician in business, who was the first want to say, even if donald trump is convicted i will go for him even though they all swore they would support him. i was impressed with nikki haley. i was very impressed. she has a lot of foreign policy experience and she showed it. i heard someone on fox this morning and i was disturbed by it. the individual said nikki haley lost her cool. she was yelling. there was real resentment and i said, why is he picking on the woman when the men were all yelling as well. that was very offensive and i wonder how many americans thought that? with respect to desantis, i was happy with what he said, but he is awkward. it is like he didn't know what you should do, like taking a picture. chris christie was a bulldog. there were things he said that were not totally anti-trump where it seemed like he wanted to be in the race as opposed to being an anti-trumper. pentz, it was out of character for him to say the things he said. trump was talking about yesterday and -- pentz was talking about yesterday and it did not matter. to me, the winners were nikki haley and desantis, who made some ground up, but the one thing i loved was when -- got up said to real, frack, and burn coal and he connected it to the economy. that was the most important connection. >> that was a clean and concise line. >> the big winners today or brett and martha. >> i have that in my notes, to bang. >> they had to put up with a loud audience and they did well. the person that zigs while everybody zags is going to come out ahead. i am not going to jump on the hysteria train. it is too early, but you do when when you make everyone else react the same way and trump used to do that all the time. 20 people on the stage would scream and that is what ramaswamy was doing. he said bought and paid for. that triggered everybody and they all say the same thing and that works to your advantage because everything is focused on you. the focus was on him and not on desantis. desantis is supposed to be number two. they treated ramaswamy like number two. donald trump not being there ended up being a plus for these candidates because when you have a personality that bright, you cannot see the other people. ramaswamy got a strong opening. a few of the other people probably did better. he seemed -- it goes to that thing. if you are versed in persuasion you will always have an edge and you can tell he's got it. it is too early to say who the democrats should be worried about, or if they should be worried about anybody. >> may be the person they are worried about is not on the stage. i thought one of the interesting things for me, i have never been in the debate room. i have always been in the staff room or onset. what was interesting as when he said you are all bought and paid for, it is not just the people on the stage that reacted. that was this moment. they ebbed and flowed. sometimes they cheered and sometimes they didn't. what i thought one last night were issues and policy. people were hungry to hear what would you do to make my life better. >> who is the audience? >> they are rnc people. >> bought and paid for. >> everybody got a few seats. the other thing is, great ratings, more than anticipated. what i thought was interesting was when we had this voter panel from wisconsin, nine people for both days, before the debate and after the debate. we were able to talk to them and the consensus was there were a lot of people wear been with ray but their heads were with desantis and haley. they like dog, but they thought maybe he could be something else in the government. the other thing is, the young people tend to like ramaswamy but they all said he is too polarizing, energizing, but he probably couldn't win. in wisconsin is where we will be a year from now for the rnc convention. it is a must-win for the republicans. i asked all of them, who thinks any of these candidates could beat biden in 2024 and they thought this is a field they have a lot of pride in. >> the democrat take away was what? do you fear any of these people? >> quaking in my boots. i found it interesting. i am glad we are in season versus in a few months we will see what is happening and that is what is important for the american people. the fact that donald trump wasn't there was an advantage to start talking about him and it was important and i am glad they asked about how they responded to the indictments. this guy is up 30 or 40 points in the primary. i did not see a credible threat to donald trump winning the primary. i thought it was fascinating five of the eight were governors. they have executive experience to talk about it. i love chris christie, but talking about how he governed a blue state and how he was able to get that done, that is important. on the ramaswamy front, he and nikki haley seem to like the winners to me. it was very strange he started off by copying barack obama, the line about the skinny guy with a funny name. that is what barack obama said when he accepted the nomination at the dnc. why would you copy someone as your introduction to the world? and copy the most popular democrat. >> don't you hate plagiarists? >> i don't get that. >> biden. >> or when melania copied michelle obama. no? no one is into that? so i thought that was strange and as time goes on, a lot of this was bubbling off of ramaswamy, the audio has been released that he took money to go to law school, which seems deceitful. people will start digging into him. >> if someone gives you a scholarship and you have $1 million in the bank, you don't take it? polls. >> i will never let the deep state bureaucrats lock you down. >> i am the only person who is not bought and paid for. >> i was a house conservative leader before it was cool. >> if you want something said, ask a man, if you want something done, ask a woman. >> america can do for anyone what she has done for me. >> our nation is in trouble because of failed leadership. the solution is not for more years of joseph biden. >> i am from a town of 300 people. it is a big deal to make it on the stage. ramaswamy grabbing a lot of headlines and the attention of his fellow debaters. >> who is this guy with a funny last name and what is he doing in the middle of this debate stage? >> i have had enough of a guy who sounds like chatgpt standing up here. the last person who stood in the middle of the stage and said what is a skinny guy with an odd last name doing up here was barack obama and we are dealing with the same type of amateur. now is not the time for on-the-job training. >> today, ukraine is not a priority for the united states. >> under your watch, you will make america less. you have no foreign policy experience and it shows. >> the reviews are in from the liberal media. i don't think they liked it very much. >> it is terrible. i felt like he was performing. >> it was so miserable. >> the public got treated to a heap of crazy. >> he was disrespectful, territorial, obnoxious at times. >> you have been talking to everybody about your thoughts. tell us what you thought about last night. >> i loved it. i was glued to the television. i love democracy in action. to me it was like talking to a jury. the american people are the jury. these people are the lawyers trying to sell themselves to the american people. i thought he was the populist guy who was the nonpolitician in business, who was the first want to say, even if donald trump is convicted i will go for him even though they all swore they would support him. i was impressed with nikki haley. i was very impressed. she has a lot of foreign policy experience and she showed it. i heard someone on fox this morning and i was disturbed by it. the individual said nikki haley lost her cool. she was yelling. there was real resentment and i said, why is he picking on the woman when the men were all yelling as well. that was very offensive and i wonder how many americans thought that? with respect to desantis, i was happy with what he said, but he is awkward. it is like he didn't know what you should do, like taking a picture. chris christie was a bulldog. there were things he said that were not totally anti-trump where it seemed like he wanted to be in the race as opposed to being an anti-trumper. pentz, it was out of character for him to say the things he said. trump was talking about yesterday and -- pentz was talking about yesterday and it did not matter. to me, the winners were nikki haley and desantis, who made some ground up, but the one thing i loved was when -- got up said to real, frack, and burn coal and he connected it to the economy. that was the most important connection. >> that was a clean and concise line. >> the big winners today or brett and martha. >> i have that in my notes, to bang. >> they had to put up with a loud audience and they did well. the person that zigs while everybody zags is going to come out ahead. i am not going to jump on the hysteria train. it is too early, but you do when when you make everyone else react the same way and trump used to do that all the time. 20 people on the stage would scream and that is what ramaswamy was doing. he said bought and paid for. that triggered everybody and they all say the same thing and that works to your advantage because everything is focused on you. the focus was on him and not on desantis. desantis is supposed to be number two. they treated ramaswamy like number two. donald trump not being there ended up being a plus for these candidates because when you have a personality that bright, you cannot see the other people. ramaswamy got a strong opening. a few of the other people probably did better. he seemed -- it goes to that thing. if you are versed in persuasion you will always have an edge and you can tell he's got it. it is too early to say who the democrats should be worried about, or if they should be worried about anybody. >> may be the person they are worried about is not on the stage. i thought one of the interesting things for me, i have never been in the debate room. i have always been in the staff room or onset. what was interesting as when he said you are all bought and paid for, it is not just the people on the stage that reacted. that was this moment. they ebbed and flowed. sometimes they cheered and sometimes they didn't. what i thought one last night were issues and policy. people were hungry to hear what would you do to make my life better. >> who is the audience? >> they are rnc people. >> bought and paid for. >> everybody got a few seats. the other thing is, great ratings, more than anticipated. what i thought was interesting was when we had this voter panel from wisconsin, nine people for both days, before the debate and after the debate. we were able to talk to them and the consensus was there were a lot of people wear been with ray but their heads were with desantis and haley. they like dog, but they thought maybe he could be something else in the government. the other thing is, the young people tend to like ramaswamy but they all said he is too polarizing, energizing, but he probably couldn't win. in wisconsin is where we will be a year from now for the rnc convention. it is a must-win for the republicans. i asked all of them, who thinks any of these candidates could beat biden in 2024 and they thought this is a field they have a lot of pride in. >> the democrat take away was what? do you fear any of these people? >> quaking in my boots. i found it interesting. i am glad we are in season versus in a few months we will see what is happening and that is what is important for the american people. the fact that donald trump wasn't there was an advantage to start talking about him and it was important and i am glad they asked about how they responded to the indictments. this guy is up 30 or 40 points in the primary. i did not see a credible threat to donald trump winning the primary. i thought it was fascinating five of the eight were governors. they have executive experience to talk about it. i love chris christie, but talking about how he governed a blue state and how he was able to get that done, that is important. on the ramaswamy front, he and nikki haley seem to like the winners to me. it was very strange he started off by copying barack obama, the line about the skinny guy with a funny name. that is what barack obama said when he accepted the nomination at the dnc. why would you copy someone as your introduction to the world? and copy the most popular democrat. >> don't you hate plagiarists? >> i don't get that. >> biden. >> or when melania copied michelle obama. no? no one is into that? so i thought that was strange and as time goes on, a lot of this was bubbling off of ramaswamy, the audio has been released that he took money to go to law school, which seems deceitful. people will start digging into him. >> if someone gives you a scholarship and you have $1 million in the bank, you don't take it? >> you were not supposed to get it if you can afford to go. >> so he is not worthy to go? >> there are scholarships based on need. >> so he took a need one. >> it is not like he checked off a box that wasn't authentic. >> here we go. elizabeth warren said she was native american. nikki haley, i felt this way during the amy coney barrett confirmation, seeing a woman up there is fundamentally exciting. she did a great job. she was the only realistic person. >> stop it. >> no, you stop it. >> let's all stop it. we have to pay some bills. >> advertisers, take it away. > (ella) fashion moves fast. >> i don't know. it is an honest answer and i have never been honest. i usually pretend, but i do know this. it is not getting eliminated. it is never going to get eliminated. republicans have tried to eliminate government for decades and it just grows. the democrats keep throwing money at schools and expecting results and if that were true, we would be matriculating and that is not happening. the democrats use the education system as a money laundering opportunity for donations, as a vote harvesting opportunity during elections and a brainwashing laboratory. they try to trap students in these laboratories and then don't want to talk about it. republicans are talking about academic achievement and we have never talked about that in this detail. the parents have to get involved. you can't expect to send your school -- send your kid to public school and he will ace his lsat's. you have to read the kid books, check his homework, run for school board, something, but to say it is all hands-off, you do it, you will never get a smart kid. 54% of republican voters think the schools teach too little on reading and writing. 50% want more on math, science and tech. how important is it to focus on these subjects?
