daughter after their car was hit and sacrificed himself, using his body as a human shield to protect them when martinez crashed into their van. this picture shows what the 25-year-old veteran leaves numbers, fairly close to the 53% and that splits along party lines as well. is the doj treatment of donald trump motivated bipartisan politics, 51% say yes. it's down a little bit from before, june of 2023. but the majority of people still think this is a political prosecution as much as it is a legal one. >> yeah, i think you can have both of those thoughts in your head at the same time. look at the four indictments and saying he did something wrong, something worth looking into but you can also look at that and saying he's being targeted, number one probable candidate for the gop against joe biden because when he was in office as president and leaving and afterwards the democratic party, a lot of their supporters and some folks said they were going to go after him, that he was going to end up in prison. >> john: some campaigned on him. >> and say i'm going to put this guy in prison. if that's your campaign message it's unseemly and risky here. you have partisan juries, partisan grand juries, the country is partisan in general. it's hard to get a fair shake nationally as prominent as the former president and this georgia indictment, prison five years, the kind of things you usually reserve for violent gang members. if this actually comes through, there is no pardon to step in there, not even a governor of georgia could pardon him and puts the country at a constitutional crisis. some very angry people and hard not to look political. >> what does it say about the state of where things are in the country if you have people simultaneously believing that yes, something something wrong and then when asked if joe biden did something illegal, 38% of people now say they believe that he did something illegal, up from 36%. so, you know this could touch joe biden as well going forward, not just donald trump. >> i think so, and it's continuing to march. it's curious to see the white house defense over the years of hunter biden. never been concerted hey, he's a yale law graduate who brought skills to the table, they never tried that defense. they said he was high or struggling with things at home or struggling with alcohol. they never said it is a worthwhile business venture. my wife sarah in the examiner said if it was because hunter biden was a screw-up, why did james biden and others in the biden family make millions from the overseas investments. comer and other members are dripping out more and more evidence, whistleblowers coming forward and a lot of smoke. they keep saying there is no fire, but that smoke screen is falling down, too. >> jacqui: the white house would disagree with you and saying it's a fishing expedition and until there is prove joe biden is connected and people are not going to pay attention to it because joe biden is running for president, not hunter biden. that's what the white house says. what do you say to that? >> i hear that defense and of course they call it a fishing expedition but it's an investigation and one seems there is evidence according to whistleblowers the doj even blocked some of those investigations. they can't say the facts have not been looked into if they are blocking that. but the question is not anymore hunter biden made the money, we know he did, he may be in trouble for that. the question is who was he making that money for, he claims joe biden was in the room, we have text messages between him and his daughter saying he had to give money to joe biden, and holding aside a few million dollars for the big guy. there is actual circumstantial evidence that the now president himself donald collins helped the passengers. >> john: as he was helping them get to safety, police say collins was hit by an suv that was driven by an illegal immigrant who was suspected of driving drunk. he not. i'm not upset with her. she was not in her right mind. >> trey served in the marines for five years and on his way home from work as a security guard when he pulled over to help a mother and daughter after their car was hit and sacrificed himself, using his body as a human shield to protect them when martinez crashed into their van. this picture shows what the 25-year-old veteran leaves you. jacqui. >> new fox polls show a partisan split when it comes to the criminal cases against former president trump. more than half the respondents think he did something illegal but more than half also believe the probes are politically motivated. >> our next guest argues the most recent indictment in georgia is less about crime and punishment and more about "political lawfare." let's take a look at a new fox news poll. did president trump do something illegal in regard to the 2020 election. 53% said yes, 20% said something wrong, not illegal, nothing seriously wrong, 24%. the two bottom numbers, fairly close to the 53% and that splits along party lines as well. is the doj treatment of donald trump motivated bipartisan politics, 51% say yes. it's down a little bit from before, june of 2023. but the majority of people still think this is a political prosecution as much as it is a legal one. >> yeah, i think you can have both of those thoughts in your head at the same time. look at the four indictments and saying he did something wrong, something worth looking into but you can also look at that and saying he's being targeted, number one probable candidate for the gop against joe biden because when he was in office as president and leaving and afterwards the democratic party, a lot of their supporters and some folks said they were going to go after him, that he was going to end up in prison. >> john: some campaigned on him. >> and say i'm going to put this guy in prison. if that's your campaign message it's unseemly and risky here. you have partisan juries, partisan grand juries, the country is partisan in general. it's hard to get a fair shake nationally as prominent as the former president and this georgia indictment, prison five years, the kind of things you usually reserve for violent gang members. if this actually comes through, there is no pardon to step in there, not even a governor of georgia could pardon him and puts the country at a constitutional crisis. some very angry people and hard not to look political. >> what does it say about the state of where things are in the country if you have people simultaneously believing that yes, something happened that was illegal that deserves to be looked at, and also believing that it was politically motivated. those are sort of conflicting feelings. >> except for where they come together is in the doubts the american people seem to have and all of our systems, all of our politicians, you have songs like the rich man north of richmond, there is anger and polled the average american and said are politicians corrupt, do they enrich themselves they are going to say yes. but the end of the day, one president and his family getting off and the doj blocking investigations and another one getting raided by the fbi with no real evidence put forward and multiple impeachment trials they lose faith even when somebody could be bad, that the system is actually working for justice and trying to restore faith and democracy. >> john: we asked about hunter biden to that point and interesting to see how sentiment is changing on that front. asked when it comes to his foreign business dealings, hunter biden did something illegal, now fully 50% say he did, up from 44%. take a look at the next graphic, breaks down pretty much along party lines. even 10% more democrats now think he did something wrong and then when asked if joe biden did something illegal, 38% of people now say they believe that he did something illegal, up from 36%. so, you know this could touch joe biden as well going forward, not just donald trump. >> i think so, and it's continuing to march. it's curious to see the white house defense over the years of hunter biden. never been concerted hey, he's a yale law graduate who brought skills to the table, they never tried that defense. they said he was high or struggling with things at home or struggling with alcohol. they never said it is a worthwhile business venture. my wife sarah in the examiner said if it was because hunter biden was a screw-up, why did james biden and others in the biden family make millions from the overseas investments. comer and other members are dripping out more and more evidence, whistleblowers coming forward and a lot of smoke. they keep saying there is no fire, but that smoke screen is falling down, too. >> jacqui: the white house would disagree with you and saying it's a fishing expedition and until there is prove joe biden is connected and people are not going to pay attention to it because joe biden is running for president, not hunter biden. that's what the white house says. what do you say to that? >> i hear that defense and of course they call it a fishing expedition but it's an investigation and one seems there is evidence according to whistleblowers the doj even blocked some of those investigations. they can't say the facts have not been looked into if they are blocking that. but the question is not anymore hunter biden made the money, we know he did, he may be in trouble for that. the question is who was he making that money for, he claims joe biden was in the room, we have text messages between him and his daughter saying he had to give money to joe biden, and holding aside a few million dollars for the big guy. there is actual circumstantial evidence that the now president himself really got wealthy here. there was an email out a few months ago talking about how he shared an office or had a key to a georgetown office with an executive of a chinese energy conglomerate considered a foreign agent by the u.s. government. those sorts of things were maybe a politician could have gotten away with if he did not intend to run for president again, like in 2017, but now it's back in the spotlight. >> john: sarah is a great journalist. can't get used to calling her bedford, though. chris, great to see you. political outsider is making waves. vivek ramaswamy will be here to explain
