they're supposed to be teaching. the students in question are not teenagers, their kindergartners, first-graders, kids who have no perspective on life and no power to fight back. so many parents saw these videos, in some cases on @libsoftiktok, and they were shocked. they had no idea anything like this was happening in the classroom. having some purple haired loser in a nose ring convince your six euros to get a sex change is not why most people send their children to school. so they complained, the parents did commit across the country, republican officeholders responded by promising to do something about this. they made out ranged noises, but then in very short order they moved on to talking about ukraine, which is what they really care about, not you. in the end, only one state really did anything about this, that would be the state of florida with governor ron desantis. several weeks ago, the florida legislature passed a law banning teachers from bragging about their own lives to small children. news reporters went crazy, they describe the legislation as the "don't say gay" bill but as always that was a lie, the bill did not mention the word gay, nothing to do with "tucker carlson todays." florida voters seem to know that intuitively, even most democrats in florida supported this law. the polling firm public opinion strategies found out why they do, "fully two-thirds of voters believe it is inappropriate for teachers or school personnel to discuss gender identity with children in kindergarten through third grade." well, of course it is. everyone thinks that. if there is ever a law that accurately reflected public opinion, which should matter in a democracy, this was the law. but across the country on the state of california, bob iger was watching at bob iger did not like it. bob iger is the 71-year-old former -- law was immoral. in an interview later with cnn, chris wallace, iger explained preventing teenagers from promoting gender reassignment surgery to children was harmful. could not he spent hours harmful but it did not matter. a disney headquarters come his remark caused huge problems for the new ceo. bob jay fick is not especially political, not an activist, he is a marketing guy. his first instinct was not to get involved, not to comment on what was happening in florida and that seemedwise given how much at stake disney has in florida, the only theme park in orlando you may have heard, that is an enormous physical asset that cannot be loaded on a truck and move so maybe do not -- he rode that on march 7th expanding my disney plans to take a pass on this controversy because they make movies not laws. but bob chapek's employees had other ideas. whipped into a frenzy by the former boss, bob iger, disney staffers demanded action immediately. then, because he is weak and not especially bright, bob chapek caved to their demands. he agreed to hold a town hall with aggrieved disney employees who wanted him somehow to take control of the florida legislature. here is how that went. >> i hope you've all read my most recent note, in which i pledged to be a better ally for the lgbtq+ community, apologized for not being the ally that you needed me to be, and committed to ensuring that our company lives up to its values. your words have made a real impact on me. i understand that we have made mistakes and the pain that those mistakes have caused, and i know that our silence wasn't just about the bill in florida, but about every time an individual or institution that should have stood up for this community did not. i want to thank the lgbtqia+ advisory council. >> tucker: hey, bob, what does lgbtqia stand for? you have no freaking clue. that is not the interesting part. the interesting part of what you just heard was "your words have made a real impact on me." in other words, you now have full control over my entire central nervous system, you own my brain, do with me what you will, and they did. bob chapek reversed his position, disney's position completely, going forward, not only did the disney corporation fervently disagree with the law the florida legislature had passed, according to bob chapek, disney had decided to override the expressed will of florida's voters and overturn that law. "our goal as a company," said bob chapek, "is for this law to be repealed by the legislature or struck down in the courts and we remain committed to supporting the national and state organizations working to achieve that." whoa! [laughs] what? you thought it was an entertainment company, but no. from its headquarters in los angeles, the disney corporation had now decided it runs the state of florida. so for people who want to defend her democracy, which is a system in which voters get to govern themselves, this was quite a departure, this was oligarchy, corporate ceos deciding what the law should be, yeah, that is their new position. but in the meantime, disney employees set about trying to undermine the intent of florida's law. if teachers could no longer promote transgender is him to kindergartners, disney plans to step into the breach and do it themselves. here is internal footage from disney obtained by journalist chris rufo. >> last summer, we removed all of the gendered greetings and relationship life skills so we no longer say ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. we have trained, we have provided training for all of our cast members and in relationship to that they know it is hello, everyone, or hello, friends. >> tucker: oh, no more boys and girls. disney world is now nonbinary. okay. that's the diversity and inclusion, you are not surprised. what is surprising is that the head of a publicly held company like disney would announce in public that he's in charge of a state that we thought was run by the voters of that state. well, in florida, ron desantis noticed this. he is the elected governor and he decided to find out how does the system work? he decided to test democracy. so during a special session of the photo legislature this week, desantis led an effort to strip disney of what turned out to be a remarkable set of special perks that company had enjoyed for more than 50 years. you are not treated like disney was treated in florida. you have never been treated that well. so after the special session, no more. will disney world operate as its own independent company within the state of florida. that is how they were governed, by themselves. and now going forward, disney is going to have to pay its taxes, oh, wow, just like everybody else. now if you have lived in this country for more than say five years, ask yourself, what is the political party that has always told you big companies should pay their taxes? corporate tax breaks are bad. of course, that has always been the democratic party. so you would imagine the democrats in florida would applaud a move like this one. when was the last time you heard liberals complain about stripping tax breaks from big business? never before in history, it has never happened. and get it just didn't happen. these are democrats in the florida legislature, on the verge of tears as they learned that the disney corporation might have to pay taxes. >> the court will unlock the machine and members will proceed to vote. [indistinct chanting] >> now it is the vote. 68 yeas, 36 nays, the bill passes. >> tucker: [laughs] you may have sensed the democratic party over the last decade or so has been captured by corporate interests. but you never thought you would hear on the floor of the state legislature democrats scream with anguish at the idea a big company might have to pay its taxes. unbelievable. but now very clear. what is going on here? well, a lot of things. here's one. disney spends millions of dollars electing lawmakers in the state of florida. those lawmakers could not do their job in this case and act on disney's behalf. the law passed and desantis signed into law this afternoon and that is going to cause the disney corporation a ton of money, which in turn may mean less money for the florida democrats you just saw shrieking in the video. so there was some self interest involved here. there is not just that because it was not just democratic officeholders who were upset by the idea that an elected governor might be more powerful than an unelected corporation headquartered across the continent. the media were very upset, too, very upset. watch this. >> if ron desantis can pass an anti-muslim bill for the state of florida, he would. if he could pass an anti-crt come if he it is illegal to say you are blocked from i'm pretty sure the guy would try it. >> look, desantis, this is a playbook out of putin and we saw where this goes. >> it is weird how republicans keep tacking back to the old soviet union and seem to want to mimic the things that the new soviet union, mainly vladimir putin is doing. even in our conversations about desantis, it is about how well they are serving him. the truth is, dehumanization is a tactic for politics is from water. dehumanization is a tactic, russians get their soldiers to rape children by a dehumanizing them, dehumanization is a practice as a tactic of war. >> tucker: just to be clear and clearly there is an inverse iq test going on in the hiring department at msnbc, but here are the new rules: if you would like a big publicly held corporation to pay its taxes, then you are a child rapist, obviously you're a racist, like putin you are a fascist, but you know what else you are? according to joy reid, you are a communist. ron desantis is "taking us back to the soviet union," you are a communist if you want the company to pay its taxes. joy reid went to harvard so we are not going to disagree with her but we did feel a moral obligation to check that fact because it is a heavy claim. joining us live to confirm or deny these charges is conrad ron desantis who is also the governor of florida. governor, thank you so much for coming out tonight. i cannot tell whether you are a racist, communist, fascist, for wanting a big publicly held corporation to pay its taxes. how would you describe yourself? >> well, it is interesting, tucker, not only pay taxes, this company had a deal unlike any company or any individual in all of the state of florida, probably anywhere in the united states, they were self-governing, they had extraordinary powers, they could build nuclear power plants, they didn't have to go through permitting processes, obviously a lot of tax benefits, so that is just an appropriate and it is certainly an appropriate when you look, as you i think did a great job pointing out, they pledged themselves to mobilize their considerable corporate resources out of the coffers of the burbank, california,-based operation to overturn the rights of parents in a state of florida and effectively commandeer our democratic process, and so that obviously is something that we very much objected to, and then you also have those videos that you showed where you have all these higher-ups disney talking about how it was their intent to inductive sexuality in the programming that goes to young , i have a 5-year-old, 4-year-old, and 2-year-old at home, tucker and i want them to be able to watch cartoons without having the stuff jammed down their throats, and so it was appropriate to have done this originally, three years ago, whenever, but it is certainly appropriate to make them live under the same laws as everybody else in the state of florida. >> tucker: well, yes, it is a little weird coming from people who devote their programming to defending "democracy," so you have been elected by the voters of florida, you are standing for election very soon in november, we will see how you do, but you are a product of democracy. bob chapek and firefighter were elected by nobody so why wouldn't democracy defenders be on the side of the legislative process over corporate fiat? >> because i think what the left has come to is all they want to see is power exercised and advanced their leftist agenda. yes, they use to be hostile to big corporations because they perceive corporations as being political and they would not support their agenda. now they figured out that they can try to subcontract out their leftism to some of these big corporations and some of the executives will cave to the woke mob and basically do the left's dirty work. tucker, they're not going to win elections in florida if they are actually running on injecting transgender ideology into second grade classrooms and they know that. their hope was getting disney involved in that would somehow get me to back down from signing the bill. well, that was a bad judgment on their part because of course we weren't going to back down an inch. >> tucker: it is a little weird because there are a bunch of republican governors in the country -- you are the republican governor that sits over the most evenly divided state, if they're filed in state but just barely -- overwhelmingly republican states in the west like utah, there governors have not done anything like this. they have not fought back at all. what is that, do you think? >> i don't know, the way i view it as you have the media class, you have kind of the twitter class, you have some of these people, and that is a distorted view of reality, and you actually need to talk to people who aren't always on those outlets, and listen to what they have to say, and i can tell you, they do not want this woke garbage in our society. they don't want women to be denied the opportunity to participate in sports. they don't want to see their kids go to kindergarten and have this stuff jammed down their throats, so i just stand with the people, a lot of media and big corporations, but at the end of the day i think we have the facts and strength in numbers on our side. >> tucker: yeah, i think you are exactly right. great thank you. it was great to see you tonight. governor ron desantis the florida. >> thank you. >> tucker: so, the pandemic is over, the masks did not work the way they said it was, that is not conspiracy theory, the numbers show it is true but in rhode island, one lawmaker has decided you must get the facts and if you do not get the vax you are not only a citizen anymore. amazing from the smallest states. plus food processing plants are burning down, avian flu killing millions of chickens across the country. what is going on here? they're supposed to be teaching. the students in question are not teenagers, their kindergartners, first-graders, kids who have no perspective on life and no power to fight back. so many parents saw these videos, in some cases on @libsoftiktok, and they were shocked. they had no idea anything like this was happening in the classroom. having some purple haired loser in a nose ring convince your six euros to get a sex change is not why most people send their children to school. so they complained, the parents did commit across the country, republican officeholders responded by promising to do something about this. they made out ranged noises, but then in very short order they moved on to talking about ukraine, which is what they really care about, not you. in the end, only one state really did anything about this, that would be the state of florida with governor ron desantis. several weeks ago, the florida legislature passed a law banning teachers from bragging about their own lives to small children. news reporters went crazy, they describe the legislation as the "don't say gay" bill but as always that was a lie, the bill did not mention the word gay, nothing to do with "tucker carlson todays." florida voters seem to know that intuitively, even most democrats in florida supported this law. the polling firm public opinion strategies found out why they do, "fully two-thirds of voters believe it is inappropriate for teachers or school personnel to discuss gender identity with children in kindergarten through third grade." well, of course it is. everyone thinks that. if there is ever a law that accurately reflected public opinion, which should matter in a democracy, this was the law. but across the country on the state of california, bob iger was watching at bob iger did not like it. bob iger is the 71-year-old former -- law was immoral. in an interview later with cnn, chris wallace, iger explained preventing teenagers from promoting gender reassignment surgery to children was harmful. could not he spent hours harmful but it did not matter. a disney headquarters come his remark caused huge problems for the new ceo. bob jay fick is not especially political, not an activist, he is a marketing guy. his first instinct was not to get involved, not to comment on what was happening in florida and that seemedwise given how much at stake disney has in florida, the only theme park in orlando you may have heard, that is an enormous physical asset that cannot be loaded on a truck and move so maybe do not -- he rode that on march 7th expanding my disney plans to take a pass on this controversy because they make movies not laws. but bob chapek's employees had other ideas. whipped into a frenzy by the former boss, bob iger, disney staffers demanded action immediately. then, because he is weak and not especially bright, bob chapek caved to their demands. he agreed to hold a town hall with aggrieved disney employees who wanted him somehow to take control of the florida legislature. here is how that went. >> i hope you've all read my most recent note, in which i pledged to be a better ally for the lgbtq+ community, apologized for not being the ally that you needed me to be, and committed to ensuring that our company lives up to its values. your words have made a real impact on me. i understand that we have made mistakes and the pain that those mistakes have caused, and i know that our silence wasn't just about the bill in florida, but about every time an individual or institution that should have stood up for this community did not. i want to thank the lgbtqia+ advisory council. >> tucker: hey, bob, what does lgbtqia stand for? you have no freaking clue. that is not the interesting part. the interesting part of what you just heard was "your words have made a real impact on me." in other words, you now have full control over my entire central nervous system, you own my brain, do with me what you will, and they did. bob chapek reversed his position, disney's position completely, going forward, not only did the disney corporation fervently disagree with the law the florida legislature had passed, according to bob chapek, disney had decided to override the expressed will of florida's voters and overturn that law. 68 yeas, 36 nays, the bill passes. >> tucker: [laughs] you may have sensed the democratic party over the last decade or so has been captured by corporate interests. but you never thought you would hear on the floor of the state legislature democrats scream with anguish at the idea a big company might have to pay its taxes. unbelievable. but now very clear. what is going on here? well, a lot of things. here's one. disney spends millions of dollars electing lawmakers in the state of florida. those lawmakers could not do their job in this case and act on disney's behalf. the law passed and desantis signed into law this afternoon and that is going to cause the disney corporation a ton of money, which in turn may mean less money for the florida democrats you just saw shrieking in the video. so there was some self interest involved here. there is not just that because it was not just democratic officeholders who were upset by the idea that an elected governor might be more powerful than an unelected corporation headquartered across the continent. the media were very upset, too, very upset. watch this. >> if ron desantis can pass an anti-muslim bill for the state of florida, he would. if he could pass an anti-crt come if he it is illegal to say you are blocked from i'm pretty sure the guy would try it. >> look, desantis, this is a playbook out of putin and we saw where this goes. >> it is weird how republicans keep tacking back to the old soviet union and seem to want to mimic the things that the new soviet union, mainly vladimir putin is doing. even in our conversations about desantis, it is about how well they are serving him. the truth is, dehumanization is a tactic for politics is from water. dehumanization is a tactic, russians get their soldiers to rape children by a dehumanizing them, dehumanization is a practice as a tactic of war. >> tucker: just to be clear and clearly there is an inverse iq test going on in the hiring department at msnbc, but here are the new rules: if you would like a big publicly held corporation to pay its taxes, then you are a child rapist, obviously you're a racist, like putin you are a fascist, but you know what else you are? according to joy reid, you are a communist. ron desantis is "taking us back to the soviet union," you are a communist if you want the company to pay its taxes. joy reid went to harvard so we are not going to disagree with her but we did feel a moral obligation to check that fact because it is a heavy claim. joining us live to confirm or deny these charges is conrad ron desantis who is also the governor of florida. governor, thank you so much for coming out tonight. i cannot tell whether you are a racist, communist, fascist, for wanting a big publicly held corporation to pay its taxes. how would you describe yourself? >> well, it is interesting, tucker, not only pay taxes, this company had a deal unlike any company or any individual in all of the state of florida, probably anywhere in the united states, they were self-governing, they had extraordinary powers, they could build nuclear power plants, they didn't have to go through permitting processes, obviously a lot of tax benefits, so that is just an appropriate and it is certainly an appropriate when you look, as you i think did a great job pointing out, they pledged themselves to mobilize their considerable corporate resources out of the coffers of the burbank, california,-based operation to overturn the rights of parents in a state of florida and effectively commandeer our democratic process, and so that obviously is something that we very much objected to, and then you also have those videos that you showed where you have all these higher-ups disney talking about how it was their intent to inductive sexuality in the programming that goes to young , i have a 5-year-old, 4-year-old, and 2-year-old at home, tucker and i want them to be able to watch cartoons without having the stuff jammed down their throats, and so it was appropriate to have done this originally, three years ago, whenever, but it is certainly appropriate to make them live under the same laws as everybody else in the state of florida. >> tucker: well, yes, it is a little weird coming from people who devote their programming to defending "democracy," so you have been elected by the voters of florida, you are standing for election very soon in november, we will see how you do, but you are a product of democracy. bob chapek and firefighter were elected by nobody so why wouldn't democracy defenders be on the side of the legislative process over corporate fiat? >> because i think what the left has come to is all they want to see is power exercised and advanced their leftist agenda. yes, they use to be hostile to big corporations because they perceive corporations as being political and they would not support their agenda. now they figured out that they can try to subcontract out their leftism to some of these big corporations and some of the executives will cave to the woke mob and basically do the left's dirty work. tucker, they're not going to win elections in florida if they are actually running on injecting transgender ideology into second grade classrooms and they know that. their hope was getting disney involved in that would somehow get me to back down from signing the bill. well, that was a bad judgment on their part because of course we weren't going to back down an inch. >> tucker: it is a little weird because there are a bunch of republican governors in the country -- you are the republican governor that sits over the most evenly divided state, if they're filed in state but just barely -- overwhelmingly republican states in the west like utah, there governors have not done anything like this. they have not fought back at all. what is that, do you think? >> i don't know, the way i view it as you have the media class, you have kind of the twitter class, you have some of these people, and that is a distorted view of reality, and you actually need to talk to people who aren't always on those outlets, and listen to what they have to say, and i can tell you, they do not want this woke garbage in our society. they don't want women to be denied the opportunity to participate in sports. they don't want to see their kids go to kindergarten and have this stuff jammed down their throats, so i just stand with the people, a lot of media and big corporations, but at the end of the day i think we have the facts and strength in numbers on our side. >> tucker: yeah, i think you are exactly right. great thank you. it was great to see you tonight. governor ron desantis the florida. >> thank you. >> tucker: so, the pandemic is over, the masks did not work the way they said it was, that is not conspiracy theory, the numbers show it is true but in rhode island, one lawmaker has decided you must get the facts and if you do not get the vax you are not only a citizen anymore. amazing from the smallest states. plus food processing plants are burning down, avian flu killing millions of chickens across the country. what is going on here? >> sure, it is the kind of thing a lot of americans are noticing and they're wondering to themselves why is it that upwards of at least 2021 publicly -- pieces of public reporting indicate that these food processing facilities have been disabled in the last year? and what stories don't we know? this is the obligation of the biden administration to answer. a couple questions i would put forward to joe biden and of course he will blame vladimir putin but the real answers involve something domestic. how many of these events have occurred? how much of the nation's food supply depends on the plants that were disabled? how much does it increase the cost of food products you are buying in your supermarket? is joe biden himself even aware of this? these are legitimate questions. normally when it comes to food processing in the united states, there are two agencies responsible chiefly for overseeing them, the usda and fda. they have noted this avian bird flu that has resulted in destruction and death of upwards of 30 million birds in the nation's food supply, but the fda, "politico" just reported within the last week's that former commissioners are concerned that they completely abandoned the food component to the food and drug administration. in fact, these former commissioners told "politico" that the drug side is where all of the resources are, it is where all of the attention is and all the money is, and it is all in pushing the vaccines into people's arms, which means they are so obsessed with drugs they have abandoned their food obligation to the united states and the nation's food supply comes at the actions. whatever is happening, there is negligence. >> tucker: they have done enough for pfizer's share price. let's move onto protecting the population, i would say. such a great point and we appreciate you coming on, vince coglianese, thank you. >> thank you, tucker. >> tucker: so people on cnn still seemed baffled. they don't understand whether streaming service, cnn plus, failed despite hundreds of millions of dollars, and even hired mike wallace's son. what the hell? >> hey, well, what you are seeing here is just a perfect example how a safe -- once safe country like sweden has turned into a very dangerous country as a direct result of mass migration. because let's be real here for a second, even though yes, in this particular case, there was a direct event that led up to it which was the quran burning, but this is not something that is new to sweden. these riots happen very often, there are dozens of areas in sweden, all over sweden where police virtually lost all control and that is with or without quran burnings and there is a very simple reason for that. these areas, areas where people live, probably up to 80% of the people there come from radically different cultures. first and foremost africa and the middle east. people coming from these radically different cultures have very little respect for swedish culture, very little respect for the west in general, and you know, i am wondering at this point, can we even blame them for that? because how many people within the west even respect themselves? how many of us really still know what we are about and what we stand for? i feel like nowadays, the only thing that we stand for is transitioning our kids and posting ukrainian flags in our bio on social media. so i am wondering, you know, what can we blame them for at this point?
