[laughter] >> greg: she is my kind of lady. [laughter] when you are faced with serious problems, resort to violence and boo's. [laughter] beat someone up, possibly a stranger, marry me, you red devil. [laughter] she is the best thing about this administration. compared to how she was speaking to the vice president, right, there is just no competition. i think that sally fields strategy for president biden, not going to work. we have come to the conclusion that less is more with joe. wildly popular when he was chained to the rusted pallet on bike, or solo plex. got to get my analogies straight. when he came out of the basement, numbers dropped. you don't want to push him out. here's a better path for joe if it's not too late: stand up to the woke. stir your party away from the progressive abyss, and once and for all burn your race card. every time you play the race card, you may forget about it, but we all remember it. he doesn't remember the things he says about this person and that person. in this case, we do remember. the idea of him getting out of d.c. to make everybody feel good -- if it's going to be a back rub a bus tour, or is it going to be a boxcar biden with magic fingers on a train? all it's going to do is remind you that the guy that was before him wasn't so bad. biden has been a real boom for trump. we are getting a break, looking back and going "wow, the orange godzilla. did a lot of good stuff. david all right." he was able to call north korea. he had the middle east peace accord. we had a vaccine, and economy before covid -- excuse me, i spit. he is the first guy to go off on china. then, everybody had to catch up with him. we had this break. it has benefited trump, but also the republican party. they are suddenly the popular kid at the party, and they haven't done anything yet. my advice is don't get cocky. instead of doing politics, think about the people. the issues are there. you got crime! you've got inflation! you've got food prices, schools, freedom. stop letting politics, republicans, help the people. >> jesse: can we get friday greg the whole week, or just on friday? >> greg: i just want to go to a bar. [laughter] >> jesse: gillian, does greg's strategy sound plausible, or do you think of joe getting into the country, like every president says they are going to do -- do you think that has a better chance? >> gillian: the president keeps saying over and over, he said to go days that his biggest big kona problem right now is the republican party. it's not the vision of his party, its "republicans are backing his voting rights legislation," and he says that conservatives at the supreme court are blocking his mask mandate. the reality is that his party is in charge of the white house, senate, the house. he will never have a smoother path forward for his agenda than today. we've heard back from jen sake, she says "a lot of hope, but no chance." [laughter] all right, dagen. is there going to be a biden comeback, or is the riding on the wall? >> dagen: there is going to be no biden come back, because he has been fully indoctrinated by the far left, and he is not changing. going out and seeing people is just trying to convince the rubes and deplorable is that everything is great. he is not changing course. he cannot see the failures that have developed from his policy. he goes out and thinks everything is okay. as evidence of that, by the way, anywhere biden goes in this country except maybe new york city, and even here, he is going to get booed. that makes me feel good on the inside. i don't know why, but i like when people suffer in public. [laughter] just a little bit. >> jesse: you should hang out with me. [laughter] dagen the most stunning thing for me was joe biden talking about getting more advice from outside experts, from academia to editorial writers in think tanks. these are fanatical jack draws that he is going to for advice, and lo and behold, what are we starting to hear? [laughter] my staff is already across the street drinking, and i'm sitting here in my studio all by myself staring at harold ford which, by the way, makes me a lucky man. >> dagen: i've reached out to the white house on greg's marriage proposal for the secretary, and we will let you know as soon as she gets back. [laughter] >> jesse: gillian, does greg's strategy sound plausible, or do you think of joe getting into the country, like every president says they are going to do -- do you think that has a better chance? >> gillian: the president keeps saying over and over, he said to go days that his biggest big kona problem right now is the republican party. it's not the vision of his party, its "republicans are backing his voting rights legislation," and he says that conservatives at the supreme court are blocking his mask mandate. the reality is that his party is in charge of the white house, senate, the house. he will never have a smoother path forward for his agenda than today. we've heard back from jen sake, she says "a lot of hope, but no chance." [laughter] >> jesse: a striking out as always, mr. got fouled. >> gillian: i'm sorry. >> greg: thank god i am married. >> gillian: always have that to fall back on. [laughter] >> jesse: harold ford jr., you know it sounds like when the president says "i'm going to get out in the country?" it sounds like he's going to go to more fund-raisers. isn't that what this is about? raise more money and stem losses in the midterms? >> harold: i think stemming the losses is probably the focus, and making a motivation for it, but i think successful presidents never try to get in front of or behind the people. they try to make people walk alongside them. we have had presidents who have gone through turbulence. reagan did. one point he was in the mid-'30s, and then in 1982 he came back in won. clinton was in the high '30s and won. obama was at '42 when obamacare past, he won. trump was at '39 and did not won, and carter was in the '40s and did not come back and win. if you are present biden, look at the teams and figure out what to do. this is where greg was right. you have to focus on where people are. crime is the issue that has to be focused on in so many communities across the country. >> and the economy. >> harold: i was curious to hear the d.a. in new york today today -- let me back to that. crime is not as bad as some people the economy is not as bad as some people suggest, but crime is an issue you can lose on. the crime bill her to bill clinton in many ways. your point, gillian, crime and the economy, -- i was glad to hear the president the other day in his remarks in his press conference. he's going to be president now and not try to be eight committee chairman in the senate or majority leader. leave that to the legislative branch. finally, mr. president, it's great to be like a great cornerback. like ty lawson says, "forget that last play." find ways to solve problems. i'm pleased to see him get into the country. he should have been in ohio today. they have sent a $20 billion investment for those semiconductor chips in america. we've got to find other cities that can be innovation hubs. that's what i would do if i were in the white house. >> greg: one day, harold! one-day! [laughter] with me as your speechwriter, we are going places. [laughter] >> jesse: ohno. that would be the first thing i didn't do. [laughter] all right, dagen. is there going to be a biden comeback, or is the riding on the wall? >> dagen: there is going to be no biden come back, because he has been fully indoctrinated by the far left, and he is not changing. going out and seeing people is just trying to convince the rubes and deplorable is that everything is great. he is not changing course. he cannot see the failures that have developed from his policy. he goes out and thinks everything is okay. as evidence of that, by the way, anywhere biden goes in this country except maybe new york city, and even here, he is going to get booed. that makes me feel good on the inside. i don't know why, but i like when people suffer in public. "l.a. times" editorial cnn headline "price control, the government needs to implement price controls because we don't have enough shortages right now." we want to kill businesses and have not just your grocery store shelves empty, but home depot, lowes, you name it. you will not be able to find anything. i think joe biden is not changing, except maybe for the worse. >> i would fire the experts if i work joe biden. we've got to hurry up to kickboxing and drinks.
