burger... i want a sugar cookie... wait... i want a bucket of chicken... i want... ♪♪ it's the easiest because it's the cheesiest. kraft. for the win win. >> voters in minneapolis sending a big message about crime after overwhelmingly rejecting an amendment to dismantle the city's police department and replace it with the department of public safety. a violent crime wave up across the board including cities like minneapolis suffering from rising cases and homicide and robbery. the mayor of minneapolis, who did defend the police, he won reelection today as well. that was announced. but this whole idea of defunding the police, minneapolis we know was ground zero and without failed today. >> people say that all politics is low. i can understand them say not, but i think that many have listened to message nationally. this is ground zero of what happened george floyd 17 months ago. and it's buried all kinds of outrage in the country and internationally. and justifiably so. but the criminal justice system worked. someone was indicted, he was tried, and he was convicted. that is how america works. now what we have are a few naysayers who want to get rid of police departments. we've already gotten rid of something like 250 police officers who have left the force, so there's an uptick in crime in minneapolis. the intercity doesn't want the police to be defunded and the number reduced. instead what we have are people like ilhan omar saying that, let's get rid of the police. no, people don't want that. 57 percent don't want that. and across the country people are saying there's no cash back on my doesn't work. we can't get rid of the police. they are the ones who are defending us. all these anti-police and anti-america locations. we are getting killed, we are becoming victims of violent crime good you are not getting rid of the police no matter what your progressive agenda nonsense is. >> ilhan omar, the congresswoman from the area, tweeted a complaint about the police saying that they were really given the responsibilities. >> i'm speaking at a blue coats charity on monday night. the fact of the matter, is a as ilhan omar has no connection with cops. only when you need them, that is when you want them. she has no idea why cops lives are like. i think you're right adobe get the guywho won, very strong ae cops. we had four murders over the weekend in cleveland. more than 150 this year. and still the issue -- >> that's another situation that i pointed out. whether it's virginia or new jersey or texas or seattle. >> cleveland, cincinnati progressives -- let's not overgeneralize. of republicans have a lot of work to do. >> you got the republicans winning. >> clearly about trends, that would explain the mustache, geraldo.
