again to push back on these policies that republicans across this country are pushing. you won t be waiting long. we are definitely going to be doing that. state senator phil shevrin jones, thank you for joining me. we want to turn now to do wayne a. i. frederick, president of howard university i. thank you for joining me today, mister president. thanks for having me reverend sharpton. i want to start with your take on the controversies surrounding the race curriculum in florida. you were with the vice president and heard what he had to say, but i want to get your taste specifically on the new social studies curriculum, which includes lessons on how enslaved black people quote, developed skills that could be used to quote, personal benefit. according to a copy of the states academic rules, i m quoting from the rules themselves, what could these lessons properly entail and what do you think this push for the next new set of standards
career. i m going to defend the media for a moment. they did try to tell them pure dear member that viral video when terry mccullough shut down the reporter and took off his microphone and said, i m done? the reason is because the reporter was asking about education in schools and terry mccullough said, why don t you ask about things that virginians really care about? they tried to warn him. the washington post as she talked to actual people. and there was an african-american dad that she interviewed and said i started homeschooling because i didn t like the assignments coming home. a hispanic mother who said that those race curriculum is going to lead to my child being bullied. to me, they have the blinders on and they wanted to believe that president trump and antagonism towards them was going to deliver them to a win and that obviously didn t happen. geraldo, kind of a rebel correlation across the country for new york, new jersey, texas, seattle. don t overstate it.
