and you can see why. in the capital of sinaloa, 11 pounds of fat now typically sells for around $15,000. in the united states at that sells for more than hundred thousand dollars. is that? 2 milligrams of the drug it can be lethal to a human being. that means 11 pounds contains nearly two and half million doses of the home. again a major financial incentive for drug cartels whic run huge parts of mexico. to produce this drug ship it with. they are. if cocaine was the drug of the 1980s we are living in the fennel air and the numbers show it. not so long ago between october 2012 and october 2013 customs and border's protection seized 2 pounds of fennel total out of southern border. compare that what we see now in the first statement us government seized more than 7,200 pounds it's to see over the border since it's odorless and unable to detect. according to recent report quot since fiscal year 2015, the number of that knowledge vendor reported the commission more than doubled each fiscal year resulting in a 3,592 percent increase. meanwhile, federal authorities recently announced that they seized more than 10 million counterfeit pills and many lace retinal. all in a single year. news reports from chicago say that has become an epidemic. the pill on the left is annex the one on the right is counterfeit. not knowing the difference can be deadly. the drug enforcement administration warns of a dramatic increase in fake prescription pills flooding the market from criminal drug networks in mexico the drugs ar lacedor with retinal or meth of and deadly doses the bea and th head of the chicago division says that they've seized more than 600 pounds pounds of fentanyl. why are we telling you all of this about fentanyl? because the rise in the consumption nears the rise and the availability of fennel whic is causing the mountain mountai rise of fennel odu. and all of that is the right that salt of the immigration policy. when you open the borders it's not just people who come in its massive amounts of fennel and other illegal drugs. the biden administration says they are humane. it's the opposite that policy has resulted in this country becoming flooded flooded with fennel bee method drug overdose death in d the united states hi the new high almost 100,000 deaths of american citizens during the twelve-month month. back marketed march march of this year.th how much more is that remaster? a 30 percent increase in one year. there are a lot of reasons it's happening. but one of the main reasons is government policy. it's made the population sedentary and depressed. our government spent the last year blocking everyone inside their wins . the result of that are that drugs and that everywhere in major american cities are unres unrecognizable. mark the rate of accidental dru overdose hospitalizations and deaths is outpacing the city's expanding team of crisis intervention specialists fentanyl a a powerful and highl addictive opioid much cheaper than heroin entered the drug market a few years ago. fentanyl has been large further feedback the powerful narcotic was responsible for more than 500 deaths last year and becomee the drug ofoice f or many users in san francisco. ktvu has been documenting the epidemic for months many expert believe social isolation from the coronavirus may be contributed to the death toll. what we refer to habitually is our homeless crisis which is bigger than it's ever been in american history. it's not even about mental illness. it's mostly about drugs. none of it should surprise us. we spent the last year dividing americans from each other the result is loneliness they close the churches, gyms, forced people to stay apart from their family, friends and people they are closestam to. at the very same moment the biden administration open the borders allowing a massive wave of this highly addictive but deadly synthetic opioid to ente this country. what you think happened? an awful a lot of people died. this was a result of bad policy. but the biden administration isn't simply ignoring the problem without apologizing for it. they are doing something more destructive. they're making it worse. they're making it less possible for the us government to contro what comes across our border. you remember they blamed porter patrol for daring to control a horseback. now they dominated eight radica two lead customs and border protection. >> how extremist chris magness? during his confirmation hearing in congress yesterday, magnus was asked repeatedly what is happening is a crisis and it repeatedly he refused to say that it was. tens of thousands of americans are dying because of this borde policy. here's the man who the biden administration would like to ru the border responded. >> can you believe we have a crisis at the southern border, yes or no? senator, does really matter whether we call it a major challenge a crisis a big problem . >> to have a crisis at the border, yes or no. >> senator let sme assure you that no one believes there is greater urgency to that's a tha i do if you met your saying there's not a crisis at the border? >> senator no i don't think i don't speak to urgent or less serious at all. >> is there a crisis or not a crisis at the border. >> senator i would say that my highest priority is going. >> i didn't axe your priority ions to characterize that situation is there a crisis at the border? >> what i'm trying to convey is how serious i take what's happening at the border in the amount of work i want to put into addressing it. >> here's a guy who is totally beholden to the radical nonprofits the ngos many forwarded that control immigration policy he so beholden to them that he can't tell an obviousha truth under o for fear of offending them. there his real constituency not you or anyone else, lives in th country. if the radical ngos of would like to open the border knowing full well that doingg so will result in the deaths of many thousands of americans from the drugs also coming across the border. our leadership class is so decadent they don't even acknowledge that drug use is a problem. or a crisis.th they think it's fine.y chris magness says he takes it seriously which means as you well know that he is going to d double beds to allow as many foreign nationals to come here as possible and many will bring drugs. so it's more than just irresponsible it's more than just audiological. it's reckless, dangerous, criminal. the role of the federal government is not to protect economic migrants are from hait not to improve the living standards and other countries. not to pack the elektra on behalf of the specific politica party. it has one role and one. to protect american citizens are . to serve at their interest. they are doing that. they're doing exactly the opposite. john daniel davidson is an editor at the federalist and followed it written about the epidemic in this country for many years. you're happy to have him join u tonight thank you so much for coming on. >> have a bunch of questions let's hear the obvious impact the scale of it this we will call it a crisis is really without pressing american history and my overstating that. >> i don't think so. the statistics you cited earlie i think tell the tale we have had more fentanyl and seized at the southwest border so far thi fiscal year which isn't over ye but so far this fiscal year tha 2020 and 2019 and 2018 combined. >> and not by a little bit but by a lot. and as you say it's gotten much worse over the recent years and of the border communities are even worse. the outgoing head of the dea in el paso recently gave an interview on local news and sai that el paso is a wash and fentanyl in the schools on social media on the streets. they had a sixfold increase in fentanyl deaths he said this. he said that two out of every five fentanyl pills that are seized on the streets in el pas have a lethal dose of fentanyl in them. this is serious and as you was deadly problem that is it getting worse by the week. so the us government has a long history of overstating i would argue the negative effects of narcotics.rc fentanyl seems like one drug about which it is absolutely impossible to overstate the danger. you think that's right? >> i think it's true and part o why it's true it's it is a cash product for transnational criminal organizations based in mexico. we shouldn't think of the carte as a drug gang, you have to think of them as a multinationa corporation that is engaged in black-market drug sales. they bring and precursor chemicals from china, they make the fentanyl pills themselves and build factories in northern mexico and they ship it en mass across the border and making a lot of money doingng it and so this is a cash flow issue for them. and they're going to keep doin it and keep producing as much a they possibly can as long as we let--as long as the border policies are what they are they won't stop it. >> we need to update our assumptions about the world. it's not 1955, we aren't ready and dub of great pickers to go to the central valley and helpe her accept her. and we're getting the effects o it that the form of tens of thousands of dead americans think you for reporting the so faithfully for so long i appreciate it. >> our leaders aren't simply flooding the country with deadl opioids and aim of equity. not to save the climate they ar destroying the environment. they do we it in places where people are too poor to fight back. politicians using the tax dollars to finance gigantic 600- foot wind turbines that wreck to the natural environmen kill endangered animals destabilized the power gridna a make life miserable for people who live around but nobody care because it's not happening in nantucket or aspen.be >> we spent almost a year looking at this it's a scam in we try to explain how here's part of it. >> we are never gonna see a 600- foot wind turbine or solar panel in central park or in the hamptons it. where we are going to see it is inin rural communities across n york state and the country because they don't really have say. >> it's a new day on administration think about the state development. >> climate climate crisis is th test of our times be met dolt mailed a monstrosity in my backyard. our commitment to what i called clean energy patriotism. why are you destroying the environment to save the environment. >> the world will end in ten e years away adult address climat change people enacting these policies don't have to worry about a wind farm come into neighborhood. >> it just drives you insane. called blown away the people versus wind power out tomorrow approximation.com. so you may recall this situatio from the show from your enthusiasm. now given the current climate, would like to axe you a series of questionsw to determine how comfortable you are as it progresses. >> how would you feel about a little grazing of the lips? >> i went feel really good at them. then grazing you shall have. >> i would like to graze again but this time with some intertwining of the tongue. he could do that. >> excellent. that's too awkward to be a rut that's why it's a comedy. but in 2021, the parody becomes a reality almost every time it' happening a pennsylvania and we have the details next. no no no no moving is a handful. no kidding! fortunately, xfinity makes moving easy. easy? -easy? switch your xfinity services to your new address online in about a minute. that was easy. i know, right? and even save with special offers just for movers. really? yep! so while you handle that, you can keep your internet and all those shows you love, and save money while you're at it with special offers just for movers at xfinity.com/moving. from the moment covid 19 left the lab in wuhan walked skyward politicians in this country hav been busy alerting themselves extraordinary new powers. we've chronicled the growing egomania of our closet a pretty extensively on the show for the past year and a halfor at vario times we described them as authoritarians even fascists an are harder moments but in retrospect language like that turns out to be an adequate there's a political terms they don't really capture what is essentially a theological phenomenon. our leaders are doing things that previous civilizations permitted only theiria gods to . the aztecs may have human sacrifice on a mass scale but o their defense they did in the name of an all-powerful deity should have a tote tech. our leaders don't even bother with the middleman. they have no god. they issued edith in their own name and expect them to be followed as commandments.dm most recent example comes from the state of pennsylvania and tom. will is a balding man in his early 70s if you look at him you might think he's a middle school spanish teacher or a greater old feuds nothing about governor tom wolfe screams azte work hard but beneath the cardigan sweater that is exactl how he sees himself. >> on monday the governor announced he is so powerful he has the right to determine what what subjects say to one anothe during sex. the exact word tom wolf has written dialogue for other people sex lives and if they fail to read that dialog precisely they're guilty of a felony. it's a pretty amazing demand when you think about it. if you're over 30 you probably recall when they used to fret about politicians trying to get our veterans. at the time it seemed like an overstatement but not anymore. tom was already in your bedroom he barged right in and staying right there at the dresser watching he plans to supervise every detail. on twitter he explained he intends to quote an act affirmative consent standards for all sexual activity that might take place in college campuses in thee state of pennsylvania. what does it look like wolf asked rhetorically. you must move up from no means note to let yes without an affirmative yes, it is sexual assault. in other words read our script or we will charge you with rate. case there's any doubt about what the will slow requires the bill specifically notes silence it does not confer the right to quote to engage in sexual activity. you aren't allowed. going forward more than 700,000 people in the state of pennsylvania will be legally required to talk during sex. yes is the world's governor wok wants to hear but to be clearar not yes uttered and some breath away with your eyes rolled back. governor wolf wolf demands to hear yes spoken in the forthright declarative manner a in a deposition. so how is the governor ever going to make sure it actually happens that's the question law without enforcement are your suggestion.es aztec workouts don't make suggestions of the issue decree suing order for tom wolf to verify the kids across pennsylvania are using tom wolf approved languages almost will need to go farther than any governor ever has. he's going to need to see the s. tapes in the name of public safety college girls were pets over pittsburgh to philadelphia will have to e-mailpi their homemade 90 videos directly to governor with himself genesis just to be certain the importan law is being followed rigorously . tom will visit busy me and he's the governor when you're in charge of the intimate personal lives of an entire population you don't have a lot of time left over. in this case governor will make the time. governor wolf will watch these videos every one of them. that's his duty and the age of corona that's his right. should let you know we invited him onto the show tonight we wanted to know which other sexual techniques positions or safe words he'll be mandating i the coming weeks. his staff and foremost the governor was indisposed at the moment. >> pretty creepy. we'll let you know we hear anything from governor wolf. so the state department put out a statement celebrating something called international pronouns day the state department is here to tell you. meanwhile the biden administration promoted a biological man to write to the four-star admiral this is a massive victory for women. so our people with a traditiona science space if you biological sex losing the war on whether biological sex exists.al >> the person we know who thought most deeply about this question to get your opinions about in public as avocado shrine or were happy to have he on tonight. >> so you think that people who believe in the science are losing? i do. we've seen in the years since o the gavin griffin case of the case planted potentially by the aclu in which biological girl who had begun medical transitio wanted to use the boys bathroom in that's consumed conservative for years there were a flurry o bathroom built that all failed and the case was eventually decided in gavin grimm's favor. it was a massive loss distraction because biological girls pose no threats to boys i the bathroomom but in that time america lost a series of battle of the gender were which put activists in the driver's seat.t the riata lydia biological sex is a center of civilization is at the center of joy in most people lives. so if we allow it to be raised everything changes forever. you wonder why there hasn't bee more organized sincere vigorous opposition to these changes. with a senator tom cotton's office. i believe you will sponsor legislation soon to start schools from going behind parents back and giving their kids knew gender identities new names if a conspiring to them from parents. >> it's beyond belief that that's happening. >> so you think it's reversal a some point you think enough people ofu all sides and maybe sexual orientations people who believe a biology can win or ar we to fore gone? well we need to focus on the right battles to fight and i believe there are essentially four we have to fight gender ideology and the schools we hav to get all this mumbo-jumbo out of the school we have to fight for girl sports and women women's protective spaces have to stop schools from underminin parents and the giving kids at gender identities at the parent don't know about and we have to reform pediatric gender medicin numerous teenage girls with mental health problems working at the planned parenthood and walking out that day with the course of testosterone. number more lying to the public about the harms of puberty blockers. >> hope you're leaving this and you are your doing such a great job tragedy of our time thousands of otherwise law-abiding decent americans across this country lost their jobs because of joe biden's j vaccine mandate that includes thousands of law enforcement officers. that's the effect of that that report next will you can walk into a government government this country where the federal government big-city government and those that have the people who work there and not even notice because they're useless but if you start to los the people who actually keep th society functioning, you're in trouble. that could be firemen, cops and they village paramedics. if you make them leave it, things really fall apart. that's exactly what the biden administration has done. in seattle one firefighter coul have his locker at 16 year career. >> are very angry. i am trying to hold it together for my family. the bittersweet part is inning here where it started like something is being ripped away that should be added does not seem right. i don't have the best words to explain it. everything my soul tells me thi is wrong. >> with that deck i do wrong? the vaccinated spread covert like the unvaccinated there's n difference look at the science. >> they did nothing wrong he hurt nobody at the crushing him just like all around the countr particularly in seattle about 1 now been pulled off the street. >> what does it mean if you lived there? joins us tonight tell us about what it does mean. >> absolutely we are and a poin where i think seattle is officially in uncharted territory and their spending from thehe actual truth is so yesterday the chief of police that they fired six officers. i am told in the next day or so that mayor jenny durkin will claim the city lost one cop that's disingenuous at best as you saidis about an percent of deployable officers were pulled from the streets they were placed on what the spd internally calls the hr unavailable list essentially on extended leave and using their accrued time off the city will basically pressure them into getting vaccinated or treating in their paperwork. they are technically fired at least not yet. these are people who are no longer policing if you take eve one officer on the street it's one too many in a city that's short about 500 officers were i the middle of a50 violent crime search but now they are trying to downplay the public safety crisis. that the city caused an mayor durkin and others are getting creative with the numbers to claim they are lower than reality. here's an example i'm told an officer who was initially fired then decided to retire in lieu of determination they just t aren't going to count that ass actual firing. then you have the officers on extended leave on their own as result of this mandate and they're also not being counted but at the end of the day we've taken almost 100 officers off the street at the worst possibl time dispute we should take all out of the mare's security detail of course there the last ones will be dismissed. >> i'm sorry that you live ther but i hope it gets better thank a lot. >> knows about this department run several he's the most recently police chief of the city of detroit not running for governor of michigan. he joins us with an reaction to the mandates biggest much for coming on. what effect do you think this will have on yothe public on people who want to go to the grocery store without being sho tucker let me start by saying how much i appreciate you. thisis is utterly ridiculous we are talking about a mare who wanted to defund the police. her wishes coming true. this is in effect defunding the police is reckless and she does not speak for people who live i vulnerable communities whether it's their seattle too talk about seattle the summer of lov that mayor she wanted to defund the police they're getting thei wish. >> and they don't have any concept of how to reduce violence in the city. it's reckless. it's irresponsible. folks who are on the left, who are complicit and say nothing, there is involved it's wrong. >> i think you exactly right if you take all the police away in the murder rate spikes review stop taking police away have to axe you you were in the police force you dealt with unions wer are unions out that they were supposedth to be strong i notic they shakes down taxpayers another protect their own members. >> it depends on where you're talking i've got to give the chicago union president a lot o credit. he stepped up his mare referred to him as a racist the mare in judge referred to him as being an insurrectionist and it's wrong. there's something calledec collective bargaining. collective bargaining why don't you bring the union and the cit to the table and let see what w could do the work this out thes men and women want to do their job but when you do what lori lightfoot did that's not leadership. >> that's not leadership at all. and i have to tellll you this i all by design it's not by accident. in then she pulls out the race card and said what he's doing i racist. how is it racist? really what's racist is the people who live in vulnerable communities who are impacted by these bad decisions whereby by these reckless mares needs to step down and resign. >> i'm sorry. i have to tell you that's why i'm running for governor. i am not going to sit back and watch this. that's why your viewers could g to [??] and say we want change. it's about leadership leading from the front. >> you need change in that stat the great state of michigan. >> absolutely. i could go on all night. >> we have. >> they give very much. >> think you so much i appreciate you. >> awful things happening in college campuses recentlyf . we could do it all day long every day but this story really stuck out supposedly serious plays one of their top hard science professors a phd for dorian abbett they try to crush the guy wait until you find out why he joins his next >> one of the leading earth sciences in the world. he's got a phd in applied mathematics from herbert is attending a diversity chicago. recently he was chosen to visit a kuester at mit the girls lecture at the last-minute administrators at cancel him no because his science was bad it' the very top of the world but because he had expressed suppor for free speech.e they canceled. tomorrow be delivering the same lecture at princeton he was invited to speak rithere virtuay . we decided to sit down rib rigorous episode and we are gla we did one of the most impressive people we've ever interviewed really smart. >> your profession what you do for a living does not intersect yowith the american politics or cultural trends. >> nothing in fact to be the sortrt of science is supposed t be a secret garden where you can retreat from all those types of activities. five or ten ast years everything has been introduced into the science tha up and politicized asian of science. and these are the hardest of th hard sciences it's not sociology . >> not to be made to sociology but it's different. >> when i was an undergraduate on the turn-of-the-century ther were in the dining hall we woul hear some of my physics buddies we would hear some of these other people were saying it was sort of like be met you guys al eat together yes it's an our club. >> and so we would hear what wa i guess sociology anthropology all of these fields were infected first would hear whatt they were saying and it was spotty and silly like i'm glad i'm studying physics but we never thought it would come for us. >> and it now here we are 20 years later it has come for us. >> have to be honest i cover my for a living i never imagined that it would get to your department or departments like yours just doesn't have any connection at all to what you do . >> nothing. >> again more more digression you're the only professor in this department who has this worldview science oriented what are the others professors at think us. >> we have to understand is we become a tenured faculty member out a place like the university of chicago by putting your head down and not caring about anything else except for science . >> and that's the mode that mos of the faculty in my department and other departments that are similar around the country are in and sciences. and they just want to ignore this stuff and move on. get their grandson get the science done that they're excited about. feel the next coolies or they don't care about the stuff the problem is there's a small grou that's extremely committed you could call them the book activist or social justice activist and they're willing to spend all the time on this topi and they steamroll everybody else and so it's a way that a group commands may be 10 percen of the support on campus it can end up up defining what direction science departments goes. >> this is like the revolution one really supported but they took over the country. committed my nordic and coal control majority easily. >> its true and that can make you feel pessimistic but also b a cause for hope because it means if only a few of us aren' standing up in asserting principles of academic freedom and the maybe can turn the tide be met that's the premise of th show of my worldview or it's true. so what are the ways that this ideology started to intrude on your department and science.cu >> my particular field it's mostly coming through this diversity equity and inclusion these offices and administrator the schools have all hired larg numbers of administrators and gains of inclusion et cetera an it acts as a sort of a trojan horse for the work ideology to get into the hard sciences. >> here is a guy who never thought about politics at veten to spend his entire life thinking of other planets doing the important research which is the best thing their higher education system produces and out of nowhere he gets forced t think through what his principles are and defend them. one of the most honest sincere wearily charming coolest people we ever talk to really worth watching it it gives you hope that there are decent people will not be pushed around. back in the whole thing is on fox nation.com. >> one of the underreported stories over the last year there's been a dramatic spike i deaths that had nothing to do with the coronavirus not just the us but you're up to. so dramatic it begs the questio why is opening no one seems to be asking. he is following this closely enjoins us next >> tucker: a shocking story that received almost no attention and it's ominous. government data from around the world show that deaths are running well above s normal in western europe. what explains this? these are not deaths from covid but from other things. what are they? alex is an author and journalist and joins us tonight. can you describe the outline of will this? it's an amazing story? >> this is complicated, tucker. i know i don't have a lot of time. i have explored this a couple of times. what we know in the big countries in western europe, the u.k. and germany, deaths are running higher than normal. that's been true in the u.k. for months. u.k. vaccinated a lot of people and deaths are higher than normal. and germany the vaccinations no happened closer to the spring and they had deaths higher than normal in september. in the u.k. there is a lot of cardiovascular death. we don't know what that means. in the u.s., there has been an excess in mortality in people under 50 and a terrible number of deaths happening in those age. some are covid and some are drug overdoses which are running high. in the last few months as covid deaths fell in the spring deaths in that age group remained high in the u.s. there are a couple of possibilities. one is some covid deaths are miscounted. another possibility is the lockdown and overdose drug deaths. another possibility and i hesitate to say this how the no loud because i know what the response will be, this is cardiac related and something to do with the mass vaccination campaign. we don't have enough evidence to no separate what the possibilities are. no people are dying in unprecedented rates in the u.s. no no and seeing excess mortality in european countries. >> tucker: that's the point. we don't know. no no is this a highly aggressive organized effort to figure out why these people are dying? >> this is an effort to prevent anybody from talking about this. i was kicked off twitter. nobody talks about it except you. i don't know why. no >> tucker: that's the weirdest thing i have ever seen. if people are dying we should know why. i >> it's important. >> tucker: yes, it's important. alex, thank youuc very much. a new episode of tucker carlson originals tomorrow. we will be back. the sworn enemy of of lying pomposity, smugness and group think. now the great sean hannity takes over. >> sean: i will take one of those wind mills. no thanks. welcome to "hannity." a breaking report on the manhunt for brian laundrie. remains were found in a remote var in florida and his backpack and notebook. is he alive tonight? first we turn once again to what is the horrific and preventible disaster in afghanistan. >> behind enemy lines. day 67.
