mexico. they're mixing making it to export here. you can cyp right in the capita 11 pounds of sentinel sells for around $15,000 for it in the united states that same amount sells for more than $100,000. you can see the incentive. how much sentinel is that? just 2 milligrams of the drug can be lethal to a human being, that means 11 pounds can nearly to and a half million fatal doses of sentinel. again, there is a major financial incentives for drug cartels which run huge parts of mexico to produce this drug and ship it north. if kinked cooking was the drug of the 1980s we are living in the new era and the numbers sho it. they seized as to pounds of it total at our southern border. compare that to what we're seeing now in the first eight months of this year. first eight months for the u.s. government sees more than 7,000 to hundred is the highest amoun seized by far. it's a small percentage of the fentanyl that came over the border since its borderless and difficult to detect freight the u.s. sentencing commission. since fiscal year 2018 for the number of fentanyl offenders doubled each fiscal year resulting in a 3592 percent increase. federal authorities recently announced that they have seized nearly 10 million counterfeit bills and many of them were replaced with fentanyl. news reports from chicago say that fentanyl has become an epidemic. >> the pill on the left is a annex break the one on the righ is counterfeit to pray not knowing the difference can be deadly. the drug enforcement administration warns of a dramatic increase in fakes or scription pills flooding the market from criminal drug networks in mexico. the drugs made to look like toxic or adderall are laced wit fentanyl or meth. the dea has seized more than 9.25 and counterfeit bills for the head of the chicago divisio say they have seized 600 pounds of fentanyl. >> the rise in the consumption of fentanyl mirrors the rise of the availability of fentanyl. which is causing the rise in deaths by od. all of that as a result in the biden administration's immigration policy. when you open the borders, it's not just people who comes in. it is massive amounts of fentanyl and other illegal drug for the biden administration tells you their border policies is humane, but it's just the opposite spread that policy has resulted in this country becoming flooded with fentanyl. it's resulting in the deaths of many thousands, many thousands of americans. the latest data from the cdc shows that drug overdose deaths in the united states hit a new high, almost 100,000 deaths of american citizens during the twelve-month period that ended in march of this year. how much more is that than last year? at 30 percent increase in one year. so there are a lot of reasons this is happening. one of the main reasons is government policy, which is mad the population sedentary and depressed rates our government spent the last year i can everyone inside their homes for the results of that is that drugs are everywhere, and major american cities are unrecognizable. look at this report from san francisco local news station. >> the rate of accidental drug overdoses and hospitalizations and dusk is outpacing the city' expanding team of crisis intervention specialist. fentanyl highly addictive opioi much cheaper than heroin entere the drug market a few years ago. >> fentanyl has been a driver for the increase. >> the powerful narcotic was responsible for more than 500 deaths last year and has become the drug of choice for many users in san francisco. we have been documenting the epidemic remonstrate many experts believe that socialized relation from the coronavirus may be contributing to the deat toll. >> what we referred to habitually as our homeless crisis which is bigger than it' ever been in american history i not primarily about homes not even about mental illness strictly speaking. it's mostly about drugs. and drug addiction. none of this should really surprise us. we spent the last year dividing americans from each other for the result is loneliness. the close lid churches and the gems and force people to stay apart from their family, friends , and the people they're closest to. the very same moment the biden administration has opened the border allowing a massive wave of this highly addictive deadly synthetic opioid to enter this country. what do you think happened? and off a lot of people died. this was the result of bad policy. the biden administration isn't to blame for ignoring the problem, there not apologizing for it of course further doing something more destructive further making it worse. they are making it less possibl for the u.s. government to control what comes across our border. they bloom border patrol for daring to patrol on horseback. now they'd have a venue in extremist to lead the customs and border protection. how extreme? during the confirmation hearing in congress yesterday agnes was asked repeatedly whether what was happening at the border was a crisis and repeatedly he refused to say that it was the tens of thousands of americans are dying because of this borde policy. and yet here is the man who the biden administration would like to run the board of. >> do you believe we have a crisis at the southern border? yes or no? >> senator, doesn't really matter whether we call it a major challenge, a crisis, a bi problem? >> do we have a crisis at the border, yes or no? >> let me assure you that no on believes there is greater urgency to this matter than i do . >> are you saying there's not a crisis at the border? >> no, i don't think, i don't speak to urgent and has not serious at all. >> is there a crisis or is ther not a crisis at the border? >> senator i would say my highest priority. >> i didn't ask your priority. i asked you to characterize the situation of the border. is there a crisis at the border? >> what i'm trying to convey is how serious i take what's happening at the border and the amount of work i want to put into addressing a. >> here is a guy totally beholden to the ngos, many funded that control our immigration lesabre at he so beholden to that he can't tell an obvious truth under oath for fear of offending them. they are his real constituency, not you or anyone else who live in this country. if the radical ngos that would like to open the border knowing full well that doing so would result in the deaths of many thousands of americans from the drugs that are also coming across the board or. our leadership class is so lacking that they don't even acknowledge that drug use as a problem or a crisis as they refused to say. they think it's fine. he says he's going to take the border very seriously which needs means that he is going to do his level best to as loud as many foreign nationals to come here as possible and many will be bringing drugs. this is more than just irresponsible, it's more than just ideological, it is reckless , it is right dangerous, it is criminal. the role of the federal government is not to protect economic migrants from haiti. is not to improve the living standards of other countries right it's not too text the electorate on behalf of one political party. it has one role and one role alone present at is to protect american citizens. it is to serve their interests. do not doing that. they're doing exactly the opposite. an editor of the federalist has written about the fentanyl epidemic in this country for years. he is one in the media taking i seriously. john, thank you so much for coming on. i have a bunch of cats questions , but here's the obvious one. the scale of this, we will call it a crisis, is really unprecedented in american history. am i overstating that? >> i don't think so. the statistic you cited earlier i can tell the tale. we have had more fentanyl seize at the southwest barter so far this fiscal year which isn't over yet, so far this fiscal year than in 2020, 2019, and 2018 combined. not by a little bit, by a lot bright as you say, it's gotten much worse over at the recent era and the border communities are even worse. the outgoing heads of the dea and el paso recently gave an interview and he said that el paso is awash infant no in the schools, in. they've had six full increase i fentanyl deaths there. he said to out of every five pills that are seized on the street in el paso have a lethal dose of fentanyl and then. this is serious and as you say deadly problem that is getting worse by the week. >> so the u.s. government has a long history of overstating would argue the negative effect of narcotics. fentanyl seems to be the one drug about which it is absolutely impossible to overstate the danger. do you think that's right? >> i think that's true. part of why it's true is that i is a cash product for transnational criminal organizations based in mexico. we shouldn't think of this cartel is like a drug gang. if they think of them as a multinational corporation that is engaged in black-market drug sales. they bring in precursor chemicals from china, they make the pills themselves in pill factories in northern mexico, and they ship it en masse acros the border and they are making lot of money doing it. so this is a cash flow issue fo them. they are going to keep doing it and keep producing as much of this stuff as they possibly can as long as we let them as long as the border policies are what they are, they're not going to stop. >> we need to update our assumptions great it's not 1955 and we're not leading in dozens to go to the central valley and help our egg center. it's a narco state in the middl of a narco war and we are getting the effects of that in the form of tens of thousands o dead americans. junk i thank you for reporting on this so faithfully for so long. appreciated. our leaders aren't simply flooding the country with deadl opioids, it now too save the climate, they are destroying th environment in their doing it i places where people are too poo to fight back. politicians using tax dollars too finance gigantic 600-foot wind turbine that racks the natural environment, destabiliz the power grid, and make life miserable for people who live around them but nobody cares because it's not happening in and nantucket or aspen. we spent almost a year looking at this for a brown new series on tucker carlson originals. here is part of it. >> we are never going to see a 600-foot wind turbine in centra park or in the hamptons. where we will see it and is poo rural communities across new york state and across the country. because they don't really have say. >> it is a new day under the bite and administration. >> the state and developers. >> at the climate crisis, my friends is the test of our times . >> don't build a monstrosity in my backyard. don't do it here. >> our commitment to what i cal clean energy patriotism. >> why are you destroying the environment to save the environment. >> at the world is going to end in 12 years if we don't address climate change. >> they don't have to worry about the windfarm in their area . >> it just drives you insane. to get the episode is called blown away, the people versus wind power. you may recall this situation from the show curb your enthusiasm. >> now, given the current climate i'd like to ask you a series of questions to determin how comfortable you are with physical contact as it progresses. how would you feel a little grazing of the lips. >> i think i would feel very good about that. >> a grazing you shall have. i would like to graze again, bu this time with some intertwinin of the tongue. >> we could do that. >> excellent. >> that's too awkward to be real , that's why it's a comedy but in 2021, parody becomes reality almost every time. it's happening in pennsylvania. ♪ >>tucker: from the time that covid 19 the lab in wuhan and lofted skyward. politicians have been awarding themselves new powers. we have chronicled the growing ego mania pretty extensively on the show for the past year and half. every year as times we've in retrospect language like that turned out to be inadequate. those are political terms they don't capture what is essentially a theological phenomenon. our leaders are doing thing the previous vehicles asians from rented only their gods to do bear the aztecs may have committed cannibalism and human sacrifice, but they did it in the name of the all-powerful deity, our leaders don't even bother with the middleman, they have no god. our leaders issue edicts in their own name and expect those edicts to be followed as commandments. the most recent example of that comes from the state of pennsylvania and the democratic governor tom wolfe. wolf is a evolving man in his early 70s great you might think he's a retired middle school spanish teacher or a greeter at whole foods. nothing about the governor screams aztecs were god. but beneath the cardigan sweater , that is how he sees himself. on monday the governor and announced he is now so powerful that he has the right to determine what his subject say to one another during sex. he has written dialogue for other peoples lives. if they failed to read that exactly, they are guilty of felony. if you're over 30 you probably recall when used to fret about politicians trying to get into our bedrooms. at the time it seemed like an overstatement, but not anymore. tom wolfe is already in your bedroom, he barged right in and is standing there at the dresse watching. he claims to supervise every detail. under twitter, he explained tha he intends to enact affirmative consent standards for all sexua activity that might take place on college campuses and the state of pennsylvania. what does that look like? we must move from no means no t yes means yes, without an affirmative yes, it is sexual assault. in other words, read our script or we will charge you with rape. that says silence does not confer the right to engage in sexual activity bridge mode the forward come up more than 700,000 people in the state of pennsylvania will be legally required to talk during sex. yes is the word that the governor wants to hear. yes. but to be clear, not yes uttere in a breathy way. the governor demands to hear it yes spoken in a forthright declarative manner like in a deposition. so how is the governor going to make sure that this actually happens? that is the question. laws without enforcement are mere suggestion. but aztecs were god's don't mak suggestions, they offer decrees. so in order for him to verify the two kids across pennsylvani are using improve language as they roll around naked in dorm rooms, he's going to need to go further than any governor ever has. he's going to need to see the tapes. in the name of public safety young college girls from pittsburgh to philadelphia are going to have to e-mail their homemade 90 videos directly to the governor himself most likel to his private e-mail address t make sure the law is being followed rigorously. he is a busy man, the governor braiding when you're in charge of the personal lives of an entire population, you don't have a lot of time left over. in this case, the governor will make the time. governor wolf will watch these videos every one of them. that is his duty in in the age of corona, it's also his right freight we should let you know that we invited him onto the show tonight freight we wanted to know which other sexual techniques, positions, or safe words he will be mandating in the coming weeks. in staff informed us that the governor was indisposed at the moment locked in his private study watching something intently on his iphone. we'll let you know if we hear anything from that governor. the state department just put out a statement celebrating something called international pronounced debris at what's tha you aspects the state departmen is here to tell you. the biden administration has a biological man to be ranked as four-star admiral and then said this is a major victory for women. so are people with the traditional biological losing the war on what they're biological actually exist. the person we know who thought was deeply about this question to give her opinions about it and public is abigail schreier. we are happy to have her on tonight. thank you so much for coming on. >> thank you so much, tucker. >> you believe the people who believe in the science of biological or losing? >> i do. we have seen with the years since the gavin graham case, this was the case that planted the essentials by the aclu in which biological girl who'd begun medical transition wanted to use the boys bathroom in is consumed conservatives for years . they're were bathroom bills, that all failed, and the case was told eventually was decided in his favor. it was a massive law for the massive distraction because biological girls pose no threat to boys in the bathroom, but in that time, america lost a serie of battles on the gender war which put activists in the driver seat. gig at the of biological is the center of civilization, it's th center of the joy of most people 's lives, so if we allow this to be, everything changes forever. you wonder why there hasn't bee more organized sincere vigorous opposition to these changes. >> believe were going to see that very soon. i've been in touch since march when i testified against the equality act with the senator's office and i believe you will sponsor legislation very soon t stop schools from going behind parents backs in giving their kids knew gender identities and new names and then conspiring t keep this from parents. >> it's beyond belief that that is happening. you think it's reversal, at som point, you think that enough people of all sides and maybe even sexual orientations, peopl who believe in biology can win or are we too far gone? >> we need to focus on the righ battles to fight. i believe there are essentially four. we have to fight gender ideolog in schools. we have. >> that mumbo-jumbo out of the schools. we have to fight for girls sports and women's protective spaces. we have to stop schools from undermining parents and giving kids gender identities that the parents don't know about freigh and we have to reform pediatric gender medicine. no more teenage girls with mental health problems walking into planned parenthood and walking out that day with no more lying to the public about the harms of giving you blockers . >> i hope you leave this effort but you already are in doing such a great job. always happy to have you on. thank you. >> thank you. >> one of the great tragedies o our time, thousands of otherwis law-abiding decent americans across this country have lost their jobs because of joe biden 's vaccine mandates that includes thousands of law enforcement officers in cities that are already on the brink. what is the effect of that? that is next. there's software. and then there's industrial grade software, forged from decades of industrial experience and insights. meet honeywell forge. analytical software that connects assets and people to deliver a cybersecure record of your entire operation. so that everyone, in your boardroom and beyond, speaks the same language. honeywell forge. industrial grade software. >> you can watch into any government with her it's the state government, big city government half the people work there and not even notice. if you start to lose the people who actually keep the society functioning than you're in trouble and that of course mean firing cops and ambulance drivers, paramedics freight if you make them leave, things really fall apart. that is exactly what the biden administration has just done. in seattle, one firefighter clearing out his locker he speaks for many. watch. >> and very angry. i'm trying to hold it together for my family and the bittersweet part is it's ending here where it started right it' like something is being ripped away that shouldn't be. it doesn't seem right. i don't have the best words to explain it. everything in my soul tells me this is wrong. >> what does this guy do wrong? the vaccinated spread covid jus like the unvaccinated. they did nothing wrong. he hurt nobody in their questioning a lot of people jus like that. about 10 percent of the police officers have not been pulled off the street in a city that's already on the brink freight what does that mean if you live there? what that does mean. jason, thank you so much for coming on parrot. >> absolutely. we're in a point where i think seattle is officially in uncharted territory and they ar spinning from the actual truth. yesterday the chief of police said they fired six officers. i'm told that in the next day o so that the mayor is going to claim this is the only lost one cop. that's disingenuous at best bright as you said, about 10 percent of the deployable officers were pulled from the streets. they were played on what the sp internally calls the hr unavailable list. they're essentially on extended leave using their agreed time off that they deem the city is going to pressure them into getting vaccinated or turning i their paperwork. they're not technically fired, at least not yet, but these are people who are no longer policing. if you take even one officer of the street, it's one too many inner-city that's already short about 500 officers. we're in the middle of a crime surge. another trying to downplay the public safety crisis that the city caused, and the mayor and others are getting creative wit the numbers to claims that they are lower than reality. here is an example i'm told an officer who was initially fired then decided to retire in lieu of the termination, so they're just not going to count that as an actual firing. than you have the officers who went on extended leave on their own as a result of this mandate and they are also not being counted. at the end of the day we've taken over 100 officers ought off the street at the worst possible time. >>tucker: it should be taken out of the years personal detail . of course they are the last one that will be dismissed. i'm sorry that you live there, but i hope it gets better. thank you for that rental port. >> appreciate it, tucker. >> a lot about running police departments, most recently the police chief of detroit for a tease running for the governor of michigan. he joins us with the on what these mandates are doing great chief, what effect do you think these are going to have on the public on people who want to go to the grocery stores without being shot for example. >> in all, tucker. let me start by saying how much i appreciate you having me on the show great this is utterly ridiculous. we're talking about the mayor who wanted to defund the police so her wish is coming true in chicago. this is in effect defunding the police. it as reckless and she does not speak for people who live in vulnerable communities. whether it's there or seattle. seattle, the summer of love. that mayor, she wanted to defun the police. they are getting their wish. they don't have any concept of how to reduce violence in the city. its reckless. it's irresponsible. folks that are on the left who are complacent and say nothing, they are as involved. >> i think you are exactly righ freight if you take all the police away and the murder rates , the menu start taking police away, i have to ask you. you dealt with unions, where ar the unions here? i thought the unions we're supposed to be strong. why aren't they protecting thei own members? honestly? >> it depends on where you're talking. the chicago union president, they stepped up. the mayor referred to him as a racist. the mayor and the judge referre to him is being in insurrectionist. that's wrong per there is something called collective bargaining. why don't you bring the union and the city to the table and see what we can do to work this out? these men and women want to do the job, but you do what laurie lightfoot did, that is not leadership. that's not leadership at all, tucker. i have to tell you, but this is all by design. it's not by accident. and then she pulls out the race card and said what he's doing i racist. how is this racist? what's racist is the people tha live in vulnerable communities, who are impacted by these bad decisions by these reckless mayors who need to step down an resign. i'm sorry. i've got to tell you, tucker, that's why i'm running for governor because i'm not going to sit back and watch this. that's why you're viewers can g to my website and say we want change. this is about leadership, leading from the front. >> you need change in that state . >> absolutely. i could go on all night. thank you very much. >> thank you so much. appreciate you, tucker. >> thank you. lots of other things have been happening on college campuses recently. they do it all day long every day, but this story really stuc out. the university of chicago has one of their top hard science professors, a phd a dorian abbott, they tried to crush the guy. wait until you find out why. and see what he is doing in response. he joins us next. aaaand welcome back to guess what it is. now sally guess what this futuristic gadget is and you'll win a very special prize. ohhhhh i need a hint. well. they're sleek, rechargeable, incredibly comfortable and virtually invisible in your ear, and they sound amazing. >> s, it was a nerd club. so we would hear what this gas sociology, anthropology, a lot of these fields were infected first, we were hearing what the were saying. it's just funny. him glad i'm studying physics. we never thought it would come for us. now here we are, 20 years later and it has come for us. got to be honest, i spend my whole life looking at this stuf and i never imagined it would get to your department or departments like yours because you don't have any connection a all to what you do. >> nothing. >> one more question. you not the only professor in this department who has got thi worldview, this science oriente worldview. what do the other professors think? >> what you have to understand as you become a tenured faculty member at a place like the university of chicago putting your head down and not caring about anything else except for your science. so, that is the mode that most of the faculty in my department in and other departments that are similar around the country our onion in the sciences. they just want to ignore this the stuff and move on. and get their grants and get this science done that they're really excited about doing. build the next cool laser, they don't care about the stuffer at the problem is there is a small group that is extremely committed, you could call them the woke activists or their social justice activist in thei willing to spend all their time on this stuff and they sort of steamroll everybody else. so it is a way that a group tha commands may be 10 percent of the supports on campus can end up defining what direction the science department goes. >> it's like the bolshevik revolution. nobody supported it, but they took over the country. >> it's true. and that can make you feel pessimistic, but it can also be a cause for hope because it means that if only a few of us are standing up and asserting principles of academic freedom, maybe we can turn the tide. >> that is the premise of the show. i really hope it does. so what are the ways that this ideology started to intrude on your department in your science? >> in my particular field of science, it's mostly coming through this diversity equity and inclusion is offices and these demonstrators. the schools have all hired larg numbers of administrators and deans of diversity, equity, inclusion, et cetera, et cetera. it acts as a trojan horse for the woke ideology to get into the hard sciences. >> here's a guy who never thought about politics at all who intended to spend his entir life thinking about other planets and doing important research that is really the bes thing that our higher education system produces. out of nowhere he gets forced t think through what his principles are and then defend them. one of the most honest sincere weirdly charming coolest people we have ever talked to. really worth watching that. it gives you hope that there ar decent people who will not be pushed around. the whole thing is on fox nation .com. one of the most underreported stories of the last year has been the dramatic spike in deaths that had nothing to do i the coronavirus not just in the u.s. but in europe to. so dramatic that it begs the question why is this happening? no one seems to be asking. he has followed this closely enjoins us next. >> tucker: a shocking story that received almost no attention and it's ominous. government data from around the world show that deaths are running well above normal in western europe. what explains this? these are not deaths from covid but from other things. what are they? rob is an author and journalist and joins us tonight. can you describe the outline of this? it's an amazing story? >> this is complicated, tucker. i know i don't have a lot of time. i have explored this a couple of times. what we know in the big countries in western europe, the u.k. and germany, deaths are running higher than normal. that's been true in the u.k. for months. u.k. vaccinated a lot of people and deaths are higher than normal. and germany the vaccinations happened closer to the spring and they had deaths higher than normal in september. in the u.k. there is a lot of cardiovascular death. we don't know what that means. in the u.s., there has been an excess in mortality in people under 50 and a terrible number of deaths happening in those age. some are covid and some are drug overdoses which are running high. in the last few months as covid deaths fell in the spring deaths in that age group remained high in the u.s. there are a couple of possibilities. one is some covid deaths are miscounted. another possibility is the lockdown and overdose drug deaths. another possibility and i hesitate to say this how the loud because i know what the response will be, this is cardiac related and something to do with the mass vaccination campaign. we don't have enough evidence to separate what the possibilities are. people are dying in unprecedented rates in the u.s. and seeing excess mortality in european countries. >> tucker: that's the point. we don't know. is this a highly aggressive organized effort to figure out why these people are dying? >> this is an effort to prevent anybody from talking about this. i was kicked off twitter. nobody talks about it except you. i don't know why. >> tucker: that's the weirdest thing i have everseen. if people are dying we should know why. >> it's important. >> tucker: yes, it's important. alex, thank you very much. a new episode of tucker carlson originals tomorrow. we will be back. the sworn enemy of of lying, pomposity, smugness and group think. now the great sean hannity takes over. >> sean: i will take one of those wind mills. no thanks. welcome to "hannity." a breaking report on the manhunt for brian laundrie. remains were found in a remote var in florida and his backpack and notebook. is he alive tonight?
