conditions produced opost earthquake. so. [broken audio] everybody that was in the pipeline, they were already in the hemisphere, they decided to come to the united states and so here we are. we have the equivalent of a shanty town on the banks of the rio grande river in del rio, texas. jillian: the images we are seeing in the drone video and reporters from the ground and stories telling you pregnant women giving birth to babies in these conditions. you have a lot of people on the other side criticizing the use of whips from some of our law enforcement on horseback but that has been debunked and we have been told that they are reins. there is a still a lot happening here it makes you wonder, ron, are we at the point notify return with this crisis? i can't fathom a scenario in which this is turned around that quickly. >> i think you are right. i don't know how this gets better quickly. then, you think about the condition those agents are in and their families. they have to mix among these 5, one time 10,000 people under that bridge. they have to keep them safe. they have to care for them. bring them food, water, and all of the things that keep them comfortable while they are waiting then they have to go home to their own families. here we are, these politicians all of the sudden they care about what's going on at the border. they use the thinnest excuse possible to turn this from a humanitarian crisis near disaster into something about police brutality or not wanting to use horses to control crowds in our own country at our own border. they need to take a look why this is coming. mexico stopped helping weeks ago as it relates to this grouping. and people can come in the country and like i said earlier, many of them are going to get released into the country if they are caught or encountered by the border patrol. many of my former colleagues are detracted from that group instead of protecting the border keeping drugs out and finding human traffickers they are doing this work instead. todd: get more into the horse whip story as i like to call it sent a letter to border officials over their concerns it read as follows quote we were alarmed to see footage of inhumane treatment of. such abuse of conduct is unacceptable and raises questions about culture, trach and discipline within cbp from carol malone. as a sitting member of congress don't have you an obligation to get your facts straight before you make inflammatory accusation like that? 40 second to you, sir. >> i agree. these are some of the most highly trained agents in all of the border patrol. they didn't get up and ask to go down and work humanitarian crisis at the banks of the rio grand in del rio. that's not what they were there for. they were there to protect the people on the ground there, including those migrants. and so, for people to accuse them of abusing people or inhumane treatment it's ridiculous, they are out there to help serve this country and we ought to be able to show appreciation to them. even folks that are political ought to be thanking them for the work that they do each and every day. jillian: it's unbelievable the work that they have to do. i'm sure they are exhausted as you said they go home to their families. they still have other things they have got to do it's just hard to imagine, ron vitiello thank you for joining us this morning and thank you for joining us. "fox & friends" starts right now. you got anything? todd: that's it. note ♪ ♪ >> southern border. >> i saw people washing babies in the rio grande. they come and go back and forth from mexico as if me or you walk across the street. >> how many immigrant have we apprehended this year? >> we don't have that information. >> i will when i actually return i focus on mission. >> the fda covid-19 booster shot 65 and older. >> army lieutenant general he resigned why. >> biden's vaccine mandate. >> it's really not about whether or not i will get the shot but about freedom of the america
