Four indicted for murder, including two accused drug dealers linked to overdose deaths

Two suspects are accused in the Circle K shooting death of 25-year-old Deon O’Neal Jenkins, while the other two are linked to the overdose deaths of 33-year-old Michael Joseph Burnett Jr. and 39-year-old Dimitry Popkov.

The State Attorney’s Office sought and was granted on Tuesday, Jan. 19, four indictments from the Flagler County grand jury in homicide cases in Flagler County, helping to bring three lengthy investigations conducted by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Major Case and Special Investigations Units to a conclusion. 
"Every overdose death in Flagler County is now investigated and prosecuted as a homicide. There is no more slap on the wrist for selling drugs that cause overdose deaths. Poison peddlers will be held accountable.”
