[email protected] GLOVERSVILLE — The state Education Department has approved the Gloversville Enlarged School District’s energy performance contract with Siemens Industry Inc. allowing work on the energy saving project to begin this spring. Superintendent David Halloran reported to the Board of Education on Monday that the state has signed off on the district’s energy performance contract with Siemens. The school board originally authorized the execution of an energy performance contract with Siemens in April 2019 after the company performed a comprehensive energy audit of the district’s facilities in fall 2018. The energy audit informed the project subsequently developed by Siemens aimed at reducing operational and utility costs, replacing or upgrading existing equipment, improving facility infrastructure, enhancing revenue and reducing the district’s carbon footprint.
