sandwiched, though, between these two weather fronts, we have this wedge of milder air. so, a different feel to things for saturday morning with cloud with outbreaks of heavy rain pushing eastwards. the rain tending to organise itself into bands, and this last band of rain here pushing eastwards is particularly likely to give some really intense downpours with some thunder and lightning and some squally, gusty winds which could easily gust up to 40—50 mph or more in the most exposed spots. the rain will then clear to leave sunshine and showers. some of the showers will turn wintry as temperatures drop away again, 5—10 degrees around 3pm in the afternoon. a fairly chilly night on saturday night with some wintry showers around, particularly out towards the west. but as we get into sunday, you do have to squint at the map to see it, but there is a little bump in the isobars here, a little ridge of high pressurejust trying to build its way in. it won't be able to kill off the
