A Sioux Lookout man has been identified as the victim of a head on collision on Highway 17 about 4 kilometres west of Upsala.
The crash was reported around 3:30 Wednesday afternoon.
Provincial Police say a Chevy Silverado pickup truck and a Hyundai Tuscon SUV were involved.
The driver of the Hyundai, 47 year old Ravindrakumar Naik, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and passenger of the truck were treated for minor injuries.
OPP continue the investigate the cause of the crash.

Three-month-old Vanessa Dasilva has been found safe, according to the Chesapeake Police Department. The Amber Alert has been canceled.

Authorities have issued an Amber Alert for a three-month-old they say is believed to be in extreme danger.
Vanessa Dasilva was last seen at 3408 Western Branch Boulevard in Chesapeake at about 6:20 a.m. Wednesday, according to Virginia State Police. She was reportedly last seen wearing a pink and white Minnie Mouse jumpsuit.
State Police say they believe she was abducted by a man last seen driving a 2017 Grey Hyundai Tuscon with license plate number VXX-1085.

Three teenagers have been charged over a high-speed crash on a major motorway after allegedly ploughing a stolen BMW into another car then fleeing the scene.
Police were called to a northbound collision on the Gold Coast s M1 motorway, near the Oxenford exit at 2.40am on Monday.
Shocking footage of the crash, captured by a security guard from Gold Coast Patrol Dogs K9, shows the BMW racing up the motorway before smashing into a Toyota Corolla hatchback.
The force of the collision flips the BMW onto its roof, sending sparks flying as the upturned vehicle slides more than 100m across the road.

Citroën has started commercial production in India, rolling out the first Citroën C5 Aircross SUV from its plant in Thiruvallur, near Chennai. The flagship SUV is the first product for Indian customers from the Citroën brand and is slated to be launched this quarter. Production of the new SUV in India started after testing of the vehicle for over 250,000 kilometres in different terrains and varied weather conditions, said the French car maker.
