Wow, 2020 has certainly been a year.
It has been trying and difficult to say the least. We ve all had time to dig deep and also warranted a lot of soul-searching. Of the litany of the reasons we can complain about this past year, there is something we can celebrate more time with our families. For those of us in the restaurant and hospitality industries, we have been forced to slow down, cook for our loved ones for a change and to take stock in the simple pleasure of feeding those closest to us.
You know the old saying, in every cloud there s a silver lining , well for one chef in Wilton, the pandemic has turned his life around in a good way.

Then one day, he noticed his kids making doughnuts during quarantine and a light bulb went off. He and his wife decided why not start making the doughnuts. One thing led to another, and he decided to open a pop-up donut shop in Wilton. At first, the pop up shop was only suppose to be a one time deal, but as Mangum told ctbites.com, that all changed very quickly.
