Cayuga Nation police after fighting breaks out between opposing
nation factions follwing a Haudenosaunee press conference
protesting a land dispute. The nation police turned the matter over
to local law enforcement, citing Bowman s status as a
non-citizen of the Cayuga Nation.

FREMONT - Voters in the Clyde-Green Springs School district are responsible for restoring two school positions that had been eliminated and also for the elimination of paying to participate in extracurricular activities.
Turnout in Tuesday s primary election was down overall, but several levies were passed including a renewal levy to support the Clyde-Green Springs district.
Voter turnout, according to the Sandusky County Board of Elections was 11.26% as 4,506 ballots were cast, out of 40,019 registered voters.
Representing Sandusky and parts of Seneca County, the Clyde-Green Springs school district was able to pass a renewal levy after seeing additional levies in recent election cycles fail, with the tax levy approved by a 920-to-637 vote margin, or 59% to 41%.

The Seneca Falls Police Department issued a criminal summons Tuesday to Charles R. Bowman, 47, of Fayette, charging him with third-degree assault and third-degree criminal trespass. He is to answer to the charges in Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date. Police said the charges resulted from a signed prosecutor s information filed by the Seneca County district attorney with the town court.

Seneca Meadows will be holding its 18th annual Mulch Day Giveaway Saturday, May 8 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Seneca Meadows, which is located at 1786 Salcman Road in Waterloo.
Seneca Meadows employees will help load participants’ pick-up trucks, trailers or containers with 2 scoops from a skid steer or hand load 2 containers per household until supplies run out.
The program is free and exclusively for Seneca County residents. Social distancing and masking will be required. Participants should stay in their vehicles at all times, officials asked.
