Almost Home Foundation announced today a $10,000 grant investment from newly named Petco Love to support its lifesaving work for animals in the Schaumburg area.
Petco Love is a nonprofit leading change for pets nationally by harnessing the power of love to make communities and pet families closer, stronger and healthier.
Since its founding in 1999 as the Petco Foundation, they ve empowered organizations with nearly $300 million invested to date in adoption and other lifesaving efforts.
And, they ve helped find loving homes for more than 6.5 million pets in partnership with Petco and more than 4,000 organizations, like the Almost Home Foundation, nationwide.

SPOKANE, Wash. The Spokane Humane Society (SHS) announced on April 16 that they received a $13,000 grant from Petco Love to support their lifesaving work for animals.
President of Petco Love Susanne Kogut said in a press release that the money will go towards saving the lives of many animals.
“Today Petco Love announces an investment in the Spokane Humane Society as part of our commitment to create a future in which no pet is unnecessarily euthanized,” Kogut said.
Executive Director of SHS Edward Boks said the grant will be put to great use.
The Los Angeles Department of Animal Services announced Wednesday it will begin using the "Petco Love Lost" database, which uses facial recognition technology to reunite lost pets with their owners.
