Under-construction coastal road hinders view for Joggers Park, Otters Club.
The coastal road project continues to claim victims when it comes to obstructing sea view. After the
Breach Candy Club lost its prized sea view to the coastal road project, the Joggers Park and Otters Club in Bandra are going the same way, thanks to the Bandra-Versova Sealink, which is part of the same project. Work is in full swing on a slightly elevated road leading to the sealink in Bandra West that is blocking the view to the sea from Joggers Park and Otters Club.

Look out Napean Sea residents. Bandra will soon catch up with a
synthetic track
Bandra’s Joggers Park – the iconic place in the suburbs is getting a massive makeover. For the first time, it will get a synthetic track – a boon for joggers. The park was closed down on December 11 and is likely to open up only in January 2021. At present, Priyadarshini Park off
Napean Sea Road is the only park with a synthetic track.
The track was sanctioned by the then
municipal commissioner Praveen Pardeshi who had also visited the park. Joggers Park was constructed in the mid-90s and was carved out of a garbage dump. It has four tracks – one with mud, one with paver blocks and two concrete tracks.
