ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) of Rawalpindi sentenced to death an accused on two counts in kidnapping for ransom case. The same court also convicted three others for firing on police officials and injuring a constable.
ATC Judge Shaukat Kamal Dar convicted Tajamal Hussain under section 365-A and 302 (b) of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and sentenced him to death under both these sections. Besides, the convict has been fined to the tune of Rs50,000.
As per the court order, the convict has to pay Rs50,000 to the legal heirs of the deceased Mohammad Adnan who died in the kidnapping incident.
