NJ Lottery: You can now buy Pick 6, Powerball tickets online

Fans of the New Jersey Lottery now have a new way to buy a ticket online. Jersey City-based Lotto.com said it has started selling state lottery tickets online and is the first digital platform where consumers can buy a New Jersey Lottery ticket over the internet on any device.  The company has partnered with QuickChek, which is promoting it in its 138 stores in New Jersey. Thomas Metzger, chief executive officer of Lotto.com, said his company is trying to grow the state s lottery sales incrementally, and attract younger customers who may not go to a store to buy a ticket.

May 25, 2021 at 2:24 PM LIVINGSTON, NJ  A family poodle succumbed to severe injuries while at the vet on Friday after being attacked by another dog on Millstone Drive at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, according to Livingston police. Livingston officers responded to a report of a dog attack to find a Millstone Drive resident in the street holding a severely injured poodle. According to police, the man with the poodle said his dog was walking on a leash when it was attacked by an unleashed terrier mix that charged from the lawn of a nearby home. The man also said the attacking animal was retrieved and taken into the home of a family that had been fostering the dog on behalf of a rescue service. Involved parties reported that the foster dog had escaped from a fenced-in backyard before attacking the poodle, according to police.  

Driver flees the scene after hitting 3-year-old, the toddler was bleeding from the head

elisfkc2 / Flickr / CC BY-SA 2.0     ATLANTA (WGCL) Atlanta police are working to find the driver who left the scene of an accident after hitting a 3-year-old girl on Sunday. The auto vs pedestrian crash happened around 3:30 p.m. outside of the Quick Mart near the 3200 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in northwest Atlanta. According to police, officers arrived at the accident and found the toddler bleeding from her head. She was rushed to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston in an unknown condition. A police spokesperson said the toddler was alert and breathing while en route to the hospital.
