Facing COVID vaccine shortage, Paterson appeals to Trenton for more doses UP NEXT
PATERSON In an attempt to avoid another shutdown of Paterson’s COVID-19 vaccination program, the mayor said he has asked the state for an increase in the number of doses provided to the city as well as expedited delivery of them.
“There’s high demand, but there’s not enough supply,” Mayor Andre Sayegh said of the vaccine effort during a City Hall press conference.
Officials said health care workers inoculated about 200 people in less than three hours Wednesday morning at Paterson’s vaccination site, which reopened after being closed since Monday morning, when the city ran out of its initial supply of the vaccine.
