Broome County is saying goodbye to its mass vaccination site at SUNY Broome.

County Executive Jason Garnar says the final second doses of vaccine will be administered by the end of the day June 9 and the site at the BCC Ice Center will close. The Democrat says after the last dose is given, Broome Emergency Services and Health Department officials will be packing up the syringes, vials, tables, curtain partitions and any other signs of the operations that began at the ice rink at the campus in the Town of Dickinson in January. He says by Friday, no one will know there was ever a vaccination site at the rink.
A fire has ravaged an inner-city Brisbane home overnight, with fire crews battling to stall the multi-story inferno from affecting nearby houses.

Tony Shipp from Windsor Fire Station told 9News the fire had spread to multiple levels of the property, but luckily the occupants were away holidaying on the Sunshine Coast.

COVID-19 vaccine appointment began today for more than 300,000 South Carolinians to include some here in the Augusta River Region. See below one scheduled for THIS Thursday 9AM-11AM at the Windsor Fire Station by appointment only for category 1A!
Vaccine clinics will begin scheduling appointments for those 65 and older.
WHO:Rural Health Services will be administering vaccinations with support from the Aiken Technical College Nursing Department.
WHAT: Rural Health Services and Aiken Electric Cooperative, Inc. have contacted Windsor Fire Department to utilize the fire station as a COVID vaccination site for the Windsor, 29856 zipcode community. Vaccinations will be provided by “appointment only.”
