Patricia Coleman Gehron, 91, died peacefully at home at The Moorings at Lewes surrounded by her loving family Saturday, March 6, 2021. Pat was born in New York City, the daughter of Frank J. Coleman, a federal judge for the Southern District of New York, and Marjorie Sands Coleman, chief librarian for the Federal Courts.
Pat lived her early years in Larchmont, N.Y., and attended Marymount College in Tarrytown, N.Y. She left in her senior year in 1950 to marry her husband, William J. Gehron, who was recalled in the Korean War after service in World War II. Pat subsequently received her bachelor’s degree through courses taken at American University in Washington, D.C., while living in Alexandria, Va., in 1973. After the Korean War, Pat resided with her husband in White Plains, N.Y., before moving to Alexandria in 1957 where she and her husband spent the next 50 years, before moving to Lewes in 2007. Andrew Drew Montano III, 56, of Lewes passed away Monday, March 8, 2021, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa. He was born Feb. 25, 1965, in New Brunswick, N.J., son of Andrew Jr., and Geraldine K. (Banks) Montano of Lewes.
Drew loved teaching and taught at Ocean County College, N.J., and several colleges in Florida. He also enjoyed sports, animals, and spending time with his nephews. Drew had a great sense of humor and could always make you laugh. He is very much loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings: Donna Shonle and her husband Greg of Boulder, Colo., Marc Montano and his wife Susan of Oshkosh, Wis.; his aunt, Nancy Bunce and her husband John of Sewickley, Pa.; his uncle, Rob Montano and his wife Eleanor of Venice, Fla.; and his four nephews: Brandon and Ryan of Colorado and Matthew and Daniel of Wisconsin.

Mary Elizabeth Casseday, 87, of Lewes passed away Monday, March 8, 2021, at her home after a long struggle with Parkinson’s Disease. She was born Dec. 13, 1933, in Wilmington, daughter of the late Andrew Oliver Nickle and Mary Elizabeth Webster Nickle Kavanaugh.
Mary grew up in Wilmington and moved to Lewes in 1982. She built a career with the Wilmington Trust Company, retiring after 25 dedicated years. Mary was very involved in her church and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) since 1988. She was proud to have held office within DAR and assisted 41 members with their genealogies. Mary was very patriotic and even participated in a Naturalization Ceremony. She was a steadfast supporter of her family, even driving one of her husband’s race cars in a Powder Puff Derby. Deborah A. (Kane) Toner left this earth early Thursday, March 4, 2021, while surrounded by family at her home. She was born Oct. 10, 1962 in Wilmington, daughter of the late Robert and Janet Kane.
Deb and her husband Tom began married life living in New Castle, later moving to the Middletown area, and lastly moving to “their home for life” in Rehoboth Beach, some 25 years ago. All immediate and other family members were always a welcome sight at their home. It has always been a home of love, friendship and kindness.
Upon moving to Rehoboth Beach, Deb commenced her career in the world of early childhood education. Starting in 1995, Deb, Tom and their small staff began with day care service for five children. Over the following 25 years, Deb, Tom, their son, Sean, and their staff, now have childcare operations in Lewes, Rehoboth, Townsend, and most recently Milford.
